I saw the sun steep
into the seascape ―
lonely as a drowning
    wave
         on still-waters

the dimming of the day
rescinding evanescent daylight                                                                  .
fading with the slack tide
         lost at sea ―
a gloaming moment
         let fall from
the remains of the day,
like some other passing
sea bird's molted feather
drifts away untamed

I sit silent as the driftwood
lingering at the watermark,
watching a random gust
    erase the footprints
of another recurring day,
bearing abandoned memories
    and vacant heartbeats,
atrophied in the drifting sands

    and I see you walking
    towards the abating
    midnight sunset ―
         but I know
    you're just a mirage;
like the dimming afterglow
of so many waning moons
            elapsed

ever-changing tides grow low
and promises made lightly
         do ebb away

Scanning the distant horizon ―
    a blindfold heart
    mooning all at sea;
parsing a deserted shoreline,
    wondering if love
          is too late ,..
    to stem the tide ―

Bee
she dances around the world
light as air
everywhere

right in front of you
but just out of reach

she has sunshine in her soul
fire in her heart
butterflies in her stomach

her love is a raging inferno
so hot and bright the sun envies her
and you are icarus

the closer you get
the deeper she loves you
the more she burns your fragile skin

yet you cannot resist her
she is the light in your darkness
the only hope in your dismal existence
so you reach for her

the laugh that wrinkles her nose
her eyes that pierce your heart
blue as the sky and deep as the sea
golden hair wildly twisting behind her

and she dances
she dances with the earth and sea
floating wherever the wind carries her
she is a delicate dandelion
and a wild mustang

you can’t be without her
but you’re so scared of being burned
you walk away from her

you make her believe that she’s evil
that she isn't worthy of love

she was a wildflower
in love with you
and you are a ****

you choked her out
that’s how you killed flower girl

Jack Torrance
My name is Elizabeth,
and you think you know me.
You've seen me every day,
since the year I turned three.

I am quiet, and reserved,
and smarter than most,
but my quiet demeanor,
turns me into a ghost.

I'm easily forgotten,
with all the ruckus and noise.
The laughing and shouting,
from the other girls and boys.

If I could speak up,
I'd tell you the truth.
I'd tell you he's lying,
about how I got this bruise.

If I wasn't so afraid,
to tell you my side,
then maybe you'd help me,
if you knew that he lied.

He says it's my fault,
that he has to teach me like this,
but I know better now,
that you don't teach with fists.

He teaches mommy too,
and she's afraid just like me,
but she still hides the marks,
so that no one will see.

I would love to make friends,
to run, laugh, and play.
But all the kids tease me,
for acting this way.

Maybe if you taught words,
like neglect, and abuse.
Then I'd know it was wrong,
and wouldn't be so confused.

But today I'll stay quiet,
just like mommy said.
Even though she was crying,
and her eyes were all red.

Daddy tells us he loves us,
that we're his princess, and queen.
But the brown bottle stuff,
makes him angry and mean.

Maybe if I took the brown bottle,
and poured it down the sink.
Then daddy would be happy,
and be able to think.

It won't hurt to try,
I'll do it after school.
Then maybe daddy can love us,
without being so cruel.

My name is Elizabeth,
and I stay out of sight.
I'm too scared to tell you,
but if you asked me, I might.

Alice Lovey
Keep me in your thoughts tonight;
It's all I've got to keep me tight.
I see a face that is not yours,
My eyes have swept along the floors.

I cannot find a single thing--
A familiar place or welcoming.
Untouched touch upon my skin
That never fails to drive me thin.

Keep me in your thoughts tonight;
You'll never know if I'm alright.
I'll think of you, dreaming too,
To make all nightmares be untrue.
Sometimes you want so badly for someone to take the place of your past pain.
Tell me your secrets and I will lock them in my soul.
Tell me what are you missing and I will make you whole.
Tell me your fear and I will become your strength.
Tell me where will you meet and I will jump any length.
Tell me what you love and I will bring it to you.
Tell me you love me and I will never leave you.
Tell me you need me and I will be there.
Tell me what scares you and you don't have to fear.
Tell me if you don't want me and you will never see me again.
Tell me to go away and still I will protect you from any pain.
Tell me to wait and I will for an eternity.
Tell me what should I do to find my sanity.
Tell me just tell me.
Worst goodbyes are those when you haven't exchange goodbyes...

They call me a fighter,
But...

I'm tired of fighting.
