I sink into your soul.
Saturated by your words
And immersed in your emotion,
I make my peace with drowning.

You reach into your chest,
then with hands outstretched,
Offering your bleeding heart for me to savor.

Like a fiend I devour my ration,
each supple bite of primal passion,
Lick every drop from your fingertips, addicted to your flavor.

Take a look around
if you dare
at this world we live in today.

Maybe you'll find teenagers
lined up along the streets
puffing their life out
on cigarettes they stole.

Maybe you'll find pale faces
stuffed in their own world,
caring only for themselves.
Faces filled with anger
and hurt,
with no one willing
to jump out of their own world
for just one second
long enough to help.

Maybe you'll find stray trash
******* the life out of the earth.
Or maybe you'll find fumes climbing out of factories.
Or maybe gallons of oil
silently killing the life of the ocean.
Or maybe even thousands of animals
choking on the destruction
that we have left behind.

Maybe you'll find mothers
discarding the life they have created
in dumpsters,
in trash bags,
in abortions.
Maybe you'll find mothers
so desperate to get rid of their own babies
that they'll pretend
they have not just created life
but something to throw away.
They'll pretend that the human lives,
filled with potential and innocence,
they have just created
are nothing more
than the dirt inside those trash cans
they decided to leave them in.

Maybe you'll find piles of newspaper
upon newspaper
screaming out cases of ******,
of homicides,
of shootings,
of robbery.
You'll find human beings
treating other human beings
like they're just money,
like they're just a waste of space,
like they're just lives that mean nothing.
You'll find human beings
ending lives
without regret,
without remorse,
without a second thought.
You'll find human beings
treating human lives
like they're something
that can be thrown away carelessly.

So take a look around
if you dare
at this world we live in today.

But the sad thing is,
what people don't seem to know,
everything wrong with this world,
with the world we live in today,
can be fixed if people cared,
long enough
and hard enough
that they can forget about themselves for a while
and give a helping hand
that has gained dust for quite some time.

You can rule the seas
you can rule the kings, my love
but not what's inside each one of us
We came from the stars
but here we are all dust
you gotta find an old soul to trust

You may feel alone, maybe
when you're in the middle of a crowd, fake it
don't kneel, embrace it
Because you're a black diamond
you're a black diamond

The clouds are on fire
but you can float above
please, choose to live even though it's a cruel world
You smell like spring
but you got the winter in your heart
don't let those walls just fall apart

You don't have to bow
whispers, you can hear them out loud
you may not be able to keep a vow
but you can keep your heart
You don't have to cry
those golden tears in your eyes
but someday you'll have to say goodbye
to your dark heart
Some words that my grandmother used to say to me.

The gap between her teeth
i bet you'll think it's lovely
and in cold nights, after midnight
she doesn't even feel lonely
I hope you find the time
and the courage to tell yourself
that you don't have to avoid certain feelings
and leave your dusty happiness on a shelf
But i wasn't capable
of breaking the bones of your ribcage
but i hope she can do this
squeeze your heart until there is no quiet rage

Life is all about the right time
and you always lose the right moment
then you go to the bottom of your mind
looking for reasons why you think you're broken
But you can not offer salvation
to someone who is already choking
with his own ideals of life
and misplaced lies
Sweet words that will remain unspoken

The brown color of her eyes
i bet you'll find beauty in the ordinary
because i think i scared you
when i tried to show you the extraordinary
I hope you can move those mountains
the ones you didn't even touch for me
until there, your fate will be resting
at the bottom of the sea
I'm sorry i wasn't capable
to change your mind about jazz and love
all this time the universe was screaming
"His loyalty was not to me, but to the stars above"
It's time to let you go

When my past comes to visit me,
it isn't a smack in the face.
It gradually creeps up,
wrapping itself around my body,
engulfing me.
It knocks down all my feelings
and throws them away,
making room for itself.
My past is not a welcome guest,
but it's hard to kick it out.

I so hoped the time passed a bit quicker
waiting for your call, for your reassuring voice
each passing second so long, I could
even count the tube light flicker.

moments like these makes me ponder
memories come & go, anxiously I  wonder

That day of my mother's operation
at the hospital, or hell on earth as I recall
on the other side of the door, praying, waiting for the call
those two hours felt like a generation

moments like these makes me ponder
memories come & go, anxiously I wonder

As a kid at the railway station, waiting
for my dad to return from the counter
the crowd growing big, our train about to leave
those few minutes of desperation, relentless searching

moments like these makes me ponder
memories come & go, anxiously I wonder
clinching our fists, we crave for something
how lively would life be
if we had it our way in the end
how gloomy would life be
if something else happened, which we cant amend
To all those times I spent desperately waiting for someone or something which made me a more matured  and patient person I am now.

"I'm okay"* the biggest most well known lie.

That no one seems to notice.

Before I go, I have to know;
                Your arms
Did they ache to hold me?
(Just like mine did.)
       Why
           Couldn't you care more about
                         Me?
                    (As much as I did.)*
A friend of mine had said we were like passing clouds
We met and together unleashed
     lightning
              Strikes
                  Smolders until the forest
                        Burns.

But unlike you ,
          I can't resist fire...
                                I'm afraid of it
