Reality don't arrive..
It ain't your third cousin,
Seeking shelter during family gatherings,
It ain't a guest in your fav't TV show reruns,
So you cant expect to tell it to hit the road whenever you need a peace of mind

In fact it ain't a code written in a tech app,
That you can erase whenever you encounter a mishap,
It ain't like Whatsapp texts that you can simply delete,
Before the other party gets a glimpse,

Its a part of you that you can't forsake,
Like a deadly disease you can't afford to neglect,
Its that nagging sibling that's always on yo neck,
Digging deep in yo business then reminds you of your mistakes

From mistaken and unattended emotions
To the often "unfinished" business
Reality bites deep into your flesh to inflict that perfect torment,
That early morning text that you know you'll regret,

But I guess we all get lost in our sophisticated lives,
Forgetting that there are things we simply can't forget about
The little bonds that we choose not to cut off
And in return creates demons that we end up trying to escape from

She gets a kick of memories that barely exists
Choosing to sink deeper into her fantasies
Simultaneously aware of her impending doom
But she can't help herself from wanting to get back in his arms

Temporary lover
We lie naked in em sheets but..
Somehow we still manage to stay undercover
You say you love me
And I'm still hung up on the other
But still I'm all for ya'...

Temporary lover
Though we ******* don't mean that I trust ya'
Though we happy, I don't slave to find your "forever"
So don't bother...

Temporary lover
I do think of you in between puffs and sips of liquor
I feel sorry 'coz you feel safe in a broken shelter
And if you knew better, you'd do better
But you so hung up on wishing for a brighter future..

Yo like static on a TV
When the rainfall gets crazy..
and I get bored of waiting
But I know deep down you were always there when I had an off night
When I just had enough and need to turn off the lights

Temporary lover
I never thought of being next to as a partner
It was all just to fill the void we had inside us
I never thought of telling yo my fears
And I guess the problem really starts there...

Another year to celebrate.
Another year to denigrate.
For all that may go wrong.
For songs I haven't sung.

How far could I have come since then
If sinful idleness became
The incarnate expression of
The man I should have been?

One less year to grow and thrive
One less year I must survive
Awaiting our decaying fall
Birthday in a few. I always get the birthday blues

Beneath the autumn trees that sway with auburn hue,
Beneath the gilded leaves that laugh on silver bough,
Beneath the roots that never knew,
The sunlight shine or taint of plow.

Beneath the prizes of the land that lay in beauty raw,
Beneath the remnants of the ones who came aeons before,
Beneath the raging fire of flaw,
To purify her ferric core.

There lies a heart of molten girth.
That's been companion since our birth
To every life that's come or past,
And every life that's lived to die.

I'm shattered to pieces,
I'm always in pain,
And I'm not sure,
If I'm still sane.

I can't hear noise,
I can't speak,
I can't move,
from feeling so weak.

So I lie here,
Never to be woken,
In sorrow and pain,
because I am broken.
Her brown eyes are like polished
mahogany, their rich hue deepened with a subtle glimmer, lacing beauty into every flower bed they touch. They hold an irresistible warmth and clarity, reflecting a depth that's both inviting and enigmatic—like the first sip of coffee on a quiet morning, awakening something deep inside. They shimmer, like stardust, each glance revealing a gentle spark, as if they're harboring a soft, unspoken magic just for you.

I say that I won't dance, but I do.
I push through the pain because I'm so tired of feeling blue.
My muscles ache from countless jumps and turns.
But inside me, a greater pain burns. It burns.

Everything seems to melt away.
My movements burst into color and the world turns grey.
I may not be the best. I may not do it right.
But all I know is that my lungs breathe better in flight.
