Are we the blossoms of a flower?
Blooming but yet retreating
into our protected element.

Going through growth
do we need a plan
or do we just blossom
and find happiness
in the moments of life's
endless incessant swing.

Changing as the seasons
fly effortlessly yet diversely
by our perception of life.
I've always loved you
so much more
than you loved me.
I am made to give so much love and I wonder if anyone will give me ever the same back.
LUSTRE

You and I
once made a pact - to a love that was new
as the years gathered, so did the silences
as we avoided conversations, to be in the same room
we once did-now not the same as the
golden lustre of youth slowly died, so do we here, surrender
with our hands up, clearly  the stars that night
such a long time ago, did betray, the innocent beginnings
of a love that was never given a life to breathe on it's own

by Michael Perry
have you seen the flowers breaking through the dawn
rising from there beds as they begin to yawn.

standing up so proudly to face another day
showing of there splendour  making life so gay

giving off a scent growing wild and free
growing there so proudly for all of us to see.
a love letter written in fire

across a midnight sky

daughters of the moon

hands locked -
the brightest constellation

a secret that only the stars can tell

I see a beautiful
sunshine in this
sunny evening
on your face,
it really
took away the
anxiety in me
I am the red flag
sprawled across your trembling limbs
when the world reminds you
that winter is also a season.

I am a reminder
that perfection exist
only in flawed visions
of how we see others
but refuse to see ourselves.

I'm the one you vent about
but refuse to listen to
because red flags
aren't viewed as imperfections
but as infractions;
Violations of laws
that neither of us agreed to
but live by.

Do you not see your own flags
boldly waving in the wind?
The way I stumble
beneath your force
or cringe
beneath your voice.

Do you talk about the way your flag
clings to it's pole?
Refusing to be pulled down?
Refusing to be burned?
An excerpt from a journal entry made on 9/18/2020. Currently dealing with my own flaws while quietly wondering if she notices her own...or even notices me.

I wish I would have said thank you,
Instead of goodbye

Chasing a dream
That doesn't exist
Living in a world with too many risks
Risking it all
Just to be happy
To smile,
Say that I'm worthy
But really
I'm never really smiling
The world is always mad
Its painful to be happy
And easy to be sad
So what dream am I chasing?
Most days aren't worth a smile
I don't know where I'm going
No signs in sight
I'll keep trying to find the way
No time for doubt
Nor fear
Just justice
With less doubts
