He told me
I was like a sunflower:
and I'm rather touched
that he didn't compare
me to a rose,
deceptive in its beauty,
but rather a flower
that constantly
follows the path
of the sun.

Guilty

In the early mornings,
when I cannot find the motivation
to get out of bed,
I look at the books
that I have not yet read.
A wave of guilt washes of me.
I turn to look at the unfinished drawings
and the pencils that are still sharpened.
A wave of guilt whispers to me.
I roll over and see the empty words
of stories, with the characters unpublished.
A wave of guilt drowns me.
It seems these days, I am nothing but
Guilty.

I miss you so much though it's only been a day
I miss your smile, I miss your warmth in every single way

I know it's not easy to love someone like me
But I thank God everyday it was you who accepted my plea

I'm not used to all of the affection being given to me by you
Because every other time there were feelings, people ultimately said adieu

And everytime i pull you close I can never help but fear
That the love I share smothers you so, it makes you disappear

But with you I'm absolutely sure I am willing to take that chance
Because you and me together makes for one terribly wonderful romance

I love endlessly,
I am yours as much as you are mine.
Your happiness is my happiness,
Your pain, as well, is mine.
One word with a Million Meanings...

Strange #you

It is strange how you were drowning and he was the one who needed space

It is strange how he cut you open and you apologised for having bled

It is strange how he broke you and held a grudge against you for falling apart

It is strange how you took 99 steps and he stumbled on one

It is strange how he never had the time to read the poems you left in his mail

It is strange how you could have had the world but you kept settling for less.

Yes, it is strange
how love makes you the person you never thought you would become.

Dreams

Dreamer
Dreams are imaginations that set you free
Dreams are the stuff that emancipate fettered hearts,
meandering absentmindedly

Dreams give hope and last till infinity
Dreams are a rope to cling on to sanity
For when the world hast been tarnished and depraved
dreams are but a cascadence and showers of grace
washing you gently ashore,
into another chimerical world
in which is only soon to fade
Maturity begins
when you can be proven wrong
without feeling like you've lost.
