Gazing at the cracks of my shattered mirror
reflects the echos that haunt my tortured soul....

gray rain
As a society we are unable to help each other,
unable to notice something's wrong.

We've tried to create a perfect world
so perfect that it will crumble
because perfect is different to everyone.

We try separating ourselves
from those who hurt us
but the pain and suffering has gone on too long.

We have become as a society self absorbed
trying to climb the hierachy whilst we all sink lower and lower as one.

autumn
The only part of my day
That I look forward to
Is when I go to bed
And lay there making up scenarios
In my head.

I think of comebacks
To 8th grade bullies.
I think of witty retorts
To my mother's snide comments.
I think of intelligent things to add
To conversations I had months ago.

I think of all the things
I was too scared to say.

And in my mind
I say them.
And pretend how things would be different
If only I had the courage to speak.
The POWER of silence
Is so seldom heard

Instead we attack
With an ill chosen word

Though intelligence deems
Throwing fuel on a fire

Is a fools way it seems
To help it expire

Nothing I say
Will change how you feel

So I say nothing
Until our wound starts to heal
One of the most important lessons I learned as an adult that I pray my children learn!

Mum
Mum
why won't you listen?
when I say I had a panic attack
you say 'don't be stupid, just because your friend gets them doesn't mean you do'
I can't help it, I close my mind off and denied the fact this happens because you think it's a choice
but I have one question why the **** would you want to feel like you're going to pass out or not be able to breathe? And what person would pretend this happened?
So I had a panic attack
you say 'stop being stupid'
I can't talk to you without you thinking I'm acting or you being ignorant to the point where I feel like I'm worthless and you don't care.
So there are some things I go through and my mum either doesn't care or refuses to accept it happens. I had to explain what a panic attack was and that there doesn't always need to be a cause.  She also compares me to my friends which puts me down because I'm nothing like them. And my dad thinks it's an excuse for doing nothing.
