Determined
          to leave
she gathered
up her
things, keys
& a coat, a
quick note
    explaining
why she had
          to go,
but the
finality of the
scene gave
       the bleak
view a
different hue,
         the sun
through
glass shone
brighter, the
               sky
appeared
several
        shades
lighter, the
once
      silent
      meadows
called out in
       unison
to be walked
           upon,
the
    flowers
whispered
   to her to
        hold on.

The Dedpoet
Though you are deep into
Your night and the Fade is closing
In,
And the walls seem to collapse
The air around you,

The dawn will come:

Birth of light
Antidote to the dark,
Burst into depressions
That softly take me away.
Hope is tomorrow,
A light of the moment,
The sun can rise on you now,

The dawn will come.

Throughout the soul
Petrified on a slab,
Awakening on the promise
Of phosphorus morning.

In the immortal moment,
Know of the dawn,
From Heaven even
Angels fall.

Sight up eclipsed cerebral cells,

let King Selassie spark a blaze.

Drink of the Truth from lunar wells

lighting up shadows, as it plays…

Invade the cold abandoned hells

with transcendental roundelays

and let reality move on through

until our testament renew…

Banishing words to a cloud above,
I used to feel the texture
of a book or poem
now all I can ever hope for
is messages

the  best of melodies
with short rest -
the breathe of woodwinds
air;

conductor's
control of
movements
in  space and time

in love with
the color and smell of her

the every cymbal crashes;
the contrabass echoes
deep
the heart

heights reached

*******
each poet has a voice
and if we could all gather to speak with one voice
say one single message of hope
we could change the hearts of this world
we could tell the tale to the world so they would understand
so they could change
if we could only speak with one unified voice
gather us now
let us try
let us save this world
with our beautiful words
I will always be the slippery *****
they warn you not to go down
I am the clutter in your closet
they ask you to clean out
                Forever the reason you look
                              both ways before crossing

They say I am not right for you
But I want to be your happiness
              The world sees me rotten
I wish for you to help me
                  Paint the world with color
So we may prove them wrong

Yada yada yada
You said you're not a super hero.
I said you're full of ****.
It's ****** people like him that deserve to be hit.

One punch and he's out.
One punch in the mouth.
He dropped like my ******* did when you told me about it.

You punched a potential ******.
You saved a drunk girl.
You're a super hero in a less than super world.

The Sun's out with his guns out.
Have your contraceptives at the ready,
Because punching potential rapists is undeniably ****.
Your ability to do the right thing is so attractive to me. Wish I could have been there to watch that ******* fall.
