Watching swings in the wind
swaying, ghostly
sadly empty
chains creak with no laughter to drown the sound
it carries like screams
of all the children
who pleaded
to never
ever
grow
up.
but
     I
      want
               to
                 sin
                     on
                         every
                                  inch
                                        of
                                           your
                                                 body.
they fed me
the lyrics of
a christian.
they lead me
through the
forrest of all
that's good
and holy.
seven days
and seven nights.
but he couldn't
spare another hour
to mend the future
he foresaw.
all powerful
you say?

then why did he
turn our world
into slaughter?
all he taught me
was to spill a little
blood when things
don't go my way.
how do I prove
I am worthy?
just make a little
sacrifice
but oh
the victim must be
innocent.

what must be right
must be revenge.
"**** her first born child!"
"drown them, they are wild!"
burn the crops of the poor
And mutilate their
soldiers when they
fight for more.
they told me he
was all powerful
but he stood back
and watched them suffer.
Tell me something
Mr. All and Mighty
why are you
lying to us all?
Chameleon love in the Jungle
Shelter is in the heart of the caves
Amongst the darkness
Life's Journey is hard to never falter
When beauty is a wildebeast
And chivalry lies at the alter
Success is a rose bush
Shed red to get red
Climb the devils mountain
The never ending uphill battle
Death is a gift of life
Cried the spiraling black bird in the sky

I'm waiting for the day when it'll hurt until it doesn't,
but I'm at the point where I'm letting pain define me.
I'm hoping to die and dream us into reality,
but I better hold on tight for this is all I can ever be.
Cody.
