The Other Side
Jordan Hudson Feb 2019
(Yeah, the other side, this is to you)
Freezing cold, frost and the snow
Water lines froze
All the stores bread sold
Living in the cold
Windows shut, heat is on
Cars sit to warm
Covered in ice, snow clouds blocking the light
Sitting inside, freezing as the heat melts ice
Snow to water, floods gonna bother
White frost, hard grass
Higher costs, broken glass
Yeah
Shivering, shaking, gonna collapse
On the cold ground yeah
Even the mice are cold
And the geese too
Us humans don't even know what to do
We scramble and try to get warm
Except we get sick and die and mourn
Sometimes we travel afar
Far from here as we steer for the coast
Snowstorm, ice fall, more tea and toast
The Northern ways, the cold air days
When will they end, where have I been
I could have left when I was afraid
But I stayed and prayed and hoped for better days
I am still here trying to sustain
But I shiver while I try to regain
All my lost thoughts from my brain
They may be long gone
Now I have to stay
While they have the better way
But they are so far away
I will gain success over time
Please join and lose the crime
See what it is like
Learn about your true form and life
Listen to me the other side
(Yeah, can he interpret this for you, let me do that for you, alright)

Stance
Jordan Hudson Dec 2018
(Yeah, low as go, yeah, low as can go, stance)
Low as can go, so low to the ground
Ace this ride at the show in the town
Windows up and the windows down
Depends on who be hangin' around
Pass by quickly, make some cash
While they pass and while I crash
They roll off the curbside and
I roll off by exit signs
Empty tank while they keep going
Bumps and holes, my stance keeps mewing
Hitting every one that I see
Cringing every time its too clean
Making a living and making stacks
Living at home and living at the track
I can go and yes I am back
You all gonna see what you lack
Sitting at the back side you all gonna see
What I can do and what I have for me
Place down at the table, make the bet
I got this and I ain't gonna let
All you dominate and take the crown
I gonna take this town and take down
The throne while you sit aside
I gonna sit down ain't gonna let this slide
Watch me as I take over this night
Watch ahead at the lit up tail lights
You are sad and trash I can drive
Can't go no where don't you lie
Take the backseat while I drive
Enjoy this sweet and fast ride
The others slowly follow behind
I just watch my mirrors all the time
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ja
They all gonna drift and turn
What they gonna see is my flames burn
Listen to that bass and that exhaust
The sounds of the others getting lost
Way back there I'm up here
Where did they go can they not steer
They cannot even race
They just can't keep up with my pace
While I get ahead they behind
I'm up here can they find
Flash the lights and drive away
Get up there and we can stay
I love this one, got stance?

Line

Highway, street, it's right up the road
Hotel stay, motel meet, star of the show
Raise hell day, shell station meet, the more you know
Accelerate, stance nation meet, car is too slow
2.4 the fragile four, that loud *** car guy next door
Four banger, rice ganger, listen to her roar
Blow the engine, trans on the floor
No brakes, stock intake, make Civics cry for more
Fake TRD blew the other rice away
Crop dusting some Honda today
Left some old Civic on the side of the road
Couldn't count on V-TEC I suppose
VVT-i, the never dying ride
Won't hide or deny buttons are fried
But I am the life long roadside guide
Follow mine
Line, line, line, line, line, line
Straight, dash, yellow and white
Line, line, line, line, line, line
Yeah, VVT-i
Line, line, line, line, line, line
Straight, dash, yellow and white
Line, line, line, line, line, line
Yeah, VVT-i
VVT-i power!

Perilous Transportation
Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
(No brakes, barely awake, for goodness sake
Yeah, get ready for story time, except this one happens everyday)
Rain, and soon snow will drench me as I ride away
From home to school along the trails as the sky is gray
But I will keep going despite the color of the sky
Yeah it isn't great, I won't deny otherwise
But it is better than other choices as I am trying to finalize
These months that pass slowly but surely
I am independent and can handle them maturely
The trails are soaked and so am I when I'm there
But that is me going for goals setting my future
Despite the consequences outside I can insure
I will be there on time everyday I have to be
As I ride the tree leaves fall alongside me
And I make it home equally to the others who go as a group
As I ride through rain like a military troop
Exposed and all, no rain coat, no roof
I don't need it though, I am virtually waterproof
Brakes make sounds, brakes don't work
Only I can stop myself from crashing in the murk
In the atmosphere while the rain falls and the puddles grow
But my strength grows too as I ride on the slick surfaces below
Wish we luck as I make my way pushing through the perilous snow
Me riding my bike before obtaining my license

Open Road
Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
It isn't to far before I will be with the rest
Cruising and being so blessed
Wind blowing fresh air through my hair
It is only a matter of time and I'll be there
One step closer, I already went up where I need to be
I'll get full potential soon, patience is the key
So much that I could do
So much to believe it is true
The next question where will I be next
Those thoughts make me more than perplexed
I can't even imagine although I have ideas
I guess we will have to see where my life is
At that time when the times comes
I would guess but I'd hate to ruin the outcomes
Predicting the future will jinx what could happen
Then my life would be messed up and misshapen
Some day I will be free
More free than anyone could be
Maybe that's an exaggeration but it will feel that way
I won't even be able to express or convey
The way it will be feel
To be open road and behind the wheel
I know others know but no one is the same
Every one of us would have a different claim
I can't wait to drive

What is There to Gain
Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
Sometimes I wonder if the world really improved
History says it did, thing changed but what does that prove
All it did was get easier so we lessen how much we work and move
So we get by easier which only speeds things up, life has been removed
I wonder sometimes how far we will actually go
Probably not far as as the working ones go alone
While the rest sit and watch television shows
As history and invention begins to slow
I guess it'll be easier for the future to study
Because there isn't as much happening
Then we will slowly forget and simple things become challenging
And the world becomes more afraid as wars get less ******
A screen becomes the new life and our minds loose what there is to find
We compared to yesterday are quickly and surely dropping behind
Enjoy the entertainment for now while we all become blind
I need to make these lyrics into a nursery rhyme
So future generations know what we left for them
They can clean our ancient phlegm
That pours out of our destroyed brain stems
Lets not repeat what we have created ever again
History is going through its worst time yet
We don't realize that our future is our greatest threat
Every country out there is racking up debt
It keeps going up yet no one gets upset
Our world is the Milky Way's biggest stain
What God has given us is going down the drain
Our generation is constantly in these liberal campaigns
Over absolutely nothing, give it up, what is there to gain
Where is the world going?

I'm Nothing
Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
I'm nothing
I'm not even here
No one even cares
My presence is what I fear
Everything I make seems to not seem quite right
Why can't I just highlight the words as a make these these songs at night
The quality is bad yet I keep pushing on
What is driving my brain to write these stories that I've drawn
I make absolutely nothing off of these trash tracks
Yet every day I continue while other rappers make stacks
I waste my time it feels like writing these words
While I miss out on other things and it begins to hurt
With things happening here in my town
Every night I watch as the sun goes down
Living on thin ice while I fall apart
I guess I'll pay the price and hopefully I can restart
It's all my fault, that my life is this way
Socially, I am an outlier and a castaway
Hidden away creating these short songs
Please somebody, what am I doing wrong
Clueless and anonymous in the musical world
As I think about think these songs my brain goes cold
It loses thought and flashbacks occur
It seems as if our short lives go by in a brief blur
Do what you can in these short lives, make some changes
These are our duties make some exchanges
That is part of what we are supposed to do
God, you are the one that I look up to
Just a sad piece I wrote in about an hour

Look over there, who made that sound
Flames shooting, revving up to that rhythm
Check that out, who's gonna win this ground
Think you could use that algorithm
Power, sound, looks and all
Makes a car what it's worth here
Take over lots at the mall
Race each other, like a road buccaneer
Keep up with the V6 that could
Go to the end of that neighborhood
Rice uncooked can never go far
You'll blow your engine in your fake tuner car
Lose your license before next meet
Enjoy riding in the baby's car seat
You drive like an old man or soccer mom lost in her van
Or a school bus driver on icy roads or a dino driving cave man
Could you go a little faster, I have a short attention span
Seriously, you have got to be kidding me
The gas pedal is the one on the right
I'm not trying to sit here and drink a cup of tea
I'm trying to get going and get back home tonight
How could one be this freaking slow
Is this some kind of really annoying joke
I can't take this anymore, just get me home
Let's move, faster than this
Let's go, accelerate already
You aren't dismissed
There is a speed limit, just keep it faster but steady
My old granny can drive faster this, stick to the
plan, get ready
How about you drive like a businessman
That is late to work driving to New York
Office job with a bossy manager fatter than pork
Who sits at her desk with a beef patty stuck on her fork
Give it up and stuff her mouth with a old nasty cork (aye, aye, aye, aye)
Keeps on eating every single day, she would be the one to bring down Santa's sleigh midway to West Coast bay to deliver some kids toys with so much delay that he cries as he looks up in the sky while Santa isn't there yet with his supply but if you magnify the sky you can still see him all the way in Shanghai all because of this fatty bringing down a sleigh, make way for this large celestial body as it crash lands upon the new airports runway
Look over there, who made that sound
Flames shooting, revving up to that rhythm
Check that out, who's gonna win this ground
Think you could use that algorithm

Today's World
Jordan Hudson Sep 2018
It's collapsing from beneath us
Tearing us apart
Faster than light further from the start
Have much fright for this dangerous barren land
My words may end up killing every popular band
Where will we go, what do we do, when do we see
What we are really here for, save it for the tree
Those who question will go beneath everything, (let me show, let me show, yeah, yeah, let me show)
Further than we go, further than we know
Beneath all the islands and all of the Russian snow
Beneath all the Middle Eastern sand far as it goes
Beneath the American badlands (here, let me show)
Canyons, rivers, oceans and sea
Believe me, it's nothing, my music is free
Take these unjust words and listen carefully
Yeah, it may sound like I teach geography
But trust me, I'm just saying you have to be aware
Of what's around you, it just isn't fair
We stare at a screen that tell us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah, tells us what to do
We stare at a screen that tells us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah, tells us what to do
We stare at a screen that tells us what to do
Tells us what to do, yeah , tells us what to do
It's collapsing from beneath us
Tearing us apart
Faster than light further from the start
Have much fright for this dangerous barren land
My words may end up killing every popular band

The Story of Rice
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
One day this guy got off work
He went to a place to buy a car
"I need something fast", he told the clerk
"I just want to look like a superstar"
He found a Honda looking very nice
The dealer said "Totally not rice"
He hopped on in and took right off
He payed six grand but it'll pay off
Next he went to the mechanic
He did some work all over the car
The price was high but he didn't panic
The car looked great but wouldn't go too far
Stanced too much I suppose
There was a little issue with what he chose
The bottom of the car was dragging the ground
Maybe better exhaust for a more clean sound
Perhaps scraping the ground is not a good decision
Unless of course you want a collision
No offense to ricers, just for entertainment

Title
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
The title of this poem is not a mistake
A good title can be whatever I make
A title can be only to explain
What will be read or what I will say
It may seem ridiculous, sense may not be made
But as long as there's a title
I wrote it the right way
This is a short comedy poem, for some reason this one was difficult

Sentimental Value
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
How much could a blank space be worth?
Something derived from our wonderful Earth
Something you use every single day
You can list things, create, and make
It helps you learn, it helps you earn
After we use it, the item can burn
Used for work, home, and school
Sometimes it is bundled, isn't that cool?
Recycled, destroyed, processed, and cut
If you don't use it then the door of life is shut
You will use it all of the time
And just one piece is under a dime
It's paper
This is to paper!

Keys
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
Keys, does it matter how they are pressed
The pattern that is done, it looks like a mess
Typing characters all over the screen
Then sentences and words are to be seen
Then you have the ones that open the doors
The ones that you may lose all over the floor
On the ring, a massive collection
Search for the one, it's a great selection
Get to a place, type in a case
Use them to create music that goes all over the place
This is a random poem I thought of

Sitting in the Silence
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
Silence, the wind, the sky
The sun going down as time goes by
Passing are lights, across the road
Not one person stops for the lost load
Waiting on the edge
Going to tip off the ledge
Fragile or not, it is not cared for
As months pass, it rains and snows
Will someone get it, we do not know
Precious luggage waits on the side
Day after day as cars drive by
Passing are lights
This is about objects being dropped off of trucks to the side of the road

The Danger of Music
Jordan Hudson Dec 2017
As pressure is sent to the keys below
Sound rises from the speakers you know
Only to cause vibrations of sound
Straight to our ears going brain bound
If it’s too loud people begin to stir
Gradually turning it down to just a quiet whir
Almost to the point where it cannot be heard
Headphones are the only way, sure
Use them and no one will hear
The wonderful sound playing in our ears
Just listen to one more note
As it travels around your head like a castle mote
Rushing and rushing causing your mood
I would be careful of what you listen to
Trapped inside for a long time
Did you notice this is like music and it rhymes?
I just brainwashed you to listen to every word I say
I just caused you feel a certain way
That’s the danger of music itself
That’s also the explanation of why we can’t control ourselves
As pressure is sent to the keys below
Sound rises from the speakers you know
Only to cause vibrations of sound
Straight to our ears going brain bound
If it’s too loud people begin to stir
Gradually turning it down to a whir
Almost to the point where it cannot be heard
Headphones are the only way, sure
Use them and no one will hear
The wonderful sound playing in our ears
Just listen to one more note
As it travels around your head like a castle mote
Rushing and rushing causing your mood
I would be careful of what you listen to
Trapped inside for a long time
Did you notice this is like music and it rhymes?
This is about me playing my two keyboards
