without the pain.

If I were bold,
to break these chains.

in heaven sky,
to stop time’s sigh.

life can get so lonely when your on your own
theres  no one to talk you feel so alone
wishing for some company someone to be there
someone you can talk too someone just to care

someone there to comfort you when your feeling blue
someone to confide in that can help you through
someone who will listen to what you have to say
just a bit of company to help you through the day.

i spend my days
pouring myself into the cups of others

only to find that
when it’s time for myself
to take a sip

all that’s left
in my cup
is the remainder of a girl
who gave too much

a word that comes to mind

when i look at the marks

scattered below my wrist.

healed.

full stop.

there will be no more harm here.

we write when we're bored
we write when we want to express our feelings
we write when we want to understand ourselves
we write when it's the only thing left to do

but most important
we write when our heart hurts
