you're so precious;
a kiss on the cheek.
a comforting squeeze,
statement made while half asleep.

you're so precious;
arms wrapped around my head
to keep from falling off the edge
of your pitiful college twin size bed

you're so precious;
not quite an "I love you"
but with eyes bright and hair askew,
I know you mean it. I know you do.
Babbling brook bickers,
The silent lake is asleep,
Judge depth not by voice.

Maybe
we weren't
meant
for the
things
we wished
we
were meant
for.

Maybe,
just maybe,
somehow,
someday,
we will
be
meant for
the
very things
we
never expected.
It was you,
It was me,
It was the silence
Underneath the stars
That understood
My heartbeat
And it's racing.
You told me nothing.
I believed everything.
In that moment,
I found life.
In that moment,
I found you.
For my crush.

Me
Yesterday was different.
Out of sync.
Today is different.
Time to think.
Tomorrow's difference
It's up to me!

I wish,
I can stop the night,
and wait for you,
when the day comes,
with cheering songs,

I wish,
I can stop the day,
and wait for you,
when the night falls
and stars kiss your lips,

I wish,
I can stop the light
chasing darkness,
and wait for you,
in the home of Gods,

I wish,
I can stop this life,
and wait for you,
when my heart is a new,
in every birth to come,

I wish,
I can stop time,
and wait for you,
when our souls meet
in the Elysian Fields,

I wish,
I can stop the sea,
and wait for you,
swimming in the mystical
waters of eternal love.

The poetry isn’t in all these words —
It’s in knowing I survived them.
Holy smokes! Thank you everyone for all of the support! I don’t come here too often so I did not expect this; what a beautiful surprise ♥️

because it makes me believe that love existed, and still exists.

because i know, someone, somewhere, found the love that we are all seeking.

Let only death
take your
lingering scent
away from me,
for there are no
ethereal
greetings,
without soul aching
absences..
