Meet me there
Where the beach is tall and blonde and nearly as fair
Where the sun kissed sidewalks are more forgiving and free
Holding warmth more unpretending than those who never cared
And the night breathes life refreshing back into our chests with a bellowing swing
Where we sing with campfire sparks in the dark
And look only to see the stars
Staring back down into our eyes alive
For as high as we are on this lifeguard stand
Meet me there my soul friend
I will be with you again
Above within the tepid air
Soul Friend At Sunset Beach

My soul spoke volumes as it cried through my chest.
Nothing would be so pure,
so painful.
Nothing like hearing
the soul speak
after years of silence.
Hurt.
Screaming it begged,
to be set free,
โ€œplease, let me go.โ€
Please.

The inside flat of
the upper left arm,
โ€œthe arm proper,โ€
a body part,
held in
low regard,
for it is not
easy visible,
shapely,
nor is it the arm of
Jerusalem cunning.^

Few realize
it alone,
the only skin
that can be
instantaneously
pressed direct
upon the
beating (dis)heartened
chest.

There,
upon it,
upon you,
Iโ€™ve inscribed in
richest blue India ink,
these words
tattooed,
ready for transfer,
im-pressing,
s k i nย ย toย ย s k i n,
an instant injection,
more powerful
than
Adrenaline:

You!
are
(not!)
alone.

these words came to me

some say upon the same place,
but on the right arm was drawn

Oh, Canada
With your face sketched on it twiceโ€

Poetry
I am a football manager
With WORDS as my players.

Words in a Deep W Formation โ€“
Total free verse
Hopefully forming a diamond.
No buses parked here
As my words go winging
Down the page.

Not quite five three two
But maybe the odd Haiku
In syllables of five seven five โ€“
For there are far more than eleven syllables
In Poetry.

All writers are the same:
Our words combining
To make meaning,
Passing our visions
Views and feelings
For a crowd of readers
All being well.

Words to be chanted
By crowds enchanted โ€“
Songs for a stadium
That is our united mind.

where we dwell on the scale of interested
and where we turn away
away to look for life beyond all horizons

Hope--despaired.
Constance--cheated.
Faith--no longer believes.
Charity--is stingy.
Prudence--is reckless.
Patience--isn't.

And Genevieve--
Has no business being in this poem.

my anxiety is killing me
inside out

even as I watch the world fall and crumble
I can't help but hate myself

pathetic and lonely

I can see all my enemies laughing

yet
I refuse to give them the satisfaction
seeing me dead in a casket

even if I grow old and miserable
I want them to know
I walk with my head high

I'm so empty
I barely care about anyone or anything

I'll have to thank them for keeping me alive
