Walking in the rain she told me
Hold on to the better things
Funny when the better things
Talk about the better things
New weather
Now I'm wishing I could do better
It's a trend setter for the
Up-and-coming go-getter
Now I'm on the train
No one has a song to sing
Looking at their phones
Waiting for a ring
Ghost vibrations haunting
Pockets of the less patient
Time for restart
Time for back to basics
Admittedly I'm falling into that category
Remember last November?
You said it's better for me
The leaf colors always try to teach a lesson
Paying for mistakes
When I should have paid attention

I’d never met Mr. Campbell
Or heard of Mr. Stone,
But now I’ve ceased to ramble,
They’ve provided me a home.
A place for old and older,
Not poor or broke nor rich.
For meek and mild and bolder,
It runs without a hitch.

A bus to take us shopping
Or cruising to the mall,
And even island hopping
There’s something for us all.
Pat Pepper keeps us busy,
Not anchored to a chair
Al Widener’s in a tizzy
If we’re not happy there.

The staff is neat and clever
At Bradshaw’s restaurant
I plan to stay forever,
‘Cause it’s my favorite haunt.
No need to roam or gamble
For we are not alone,
God bless you Mr. Campbell
God keep you Mr. Stone
My father, Cliff Fitzpatrick, wrote this as an ode to the Campbell-Stone residence where he lived in Atlanta, GA.  I post this in remembrance of my dad, the 1st poet in my life.
Blankets the fog in sheaths.
Shed the warmth,
Rustling trees.
Cohabiting within mosquito nets.
Tripped on capsules of the Rainbows,
Captured from the wilderness in the back yard of heaven.
Downward spiral slide into Wonderland.
Record players.
The abyss of the ocean at the bottom of the sink.
You’re the tightrope as I walk across the valley of death.
Hold me.

My heart bears the weight
Of a thousand suns
When he is near
The cadence of his words
Echoes in my ears
If I should die in his wake
I shall do so with exultation
For I've never known a boy
So poetic
As to speak conversations
In tongues of music
But cupid's steel bow
Could not change his eyes
Towards me
If I were to glow a pellucid white
His eyes would not be blinded
If I were to be a goddess
He would not be compelled
To praise
But I am a lowly girl
Whose somber face
Is filled with tears
For who could ever love
A girl so weak in heart
And so meek in words

"Goodbye", he said quietly.

Just like that, she was a ghost.
And he had walked right through her.

Mysterious Aries
Ako ay isang nawawalang tupa
Sana mahanap ako ng aking pastol
Naglalakad akong may hikbing di humuhupa

Mysterious Aries
The Lost Sheep

I was a lost sheep
I hope my shepherd will find me
Walking with a relentless weep
Dressed in blue, hoping He'll see me

I am a wandering sheep
Traveled into innumerable hills
With wound that so deep
That doctors cannot heal

I am a worried sheep
Though studied carefully to learned
Between heaven and earth I stepped
Looking for brilliance to enlighten my lantern

I am the symbol of most here on earth
Sheep that looking for serenity, before we board into our coffin
Confused of many pretentious being, promising to fill our dearth
Hopefully, before I fly into the sun, the true shepherd will find me...
