Past coral garden,
Dive to the depth of blue night;
Blissful oblivion!
I
Another day-
what shall I do
at work or play
find what words
to say?

Coalesced
into the moment
driven
to thinking
doing
people-mixing
and interpreting
decision-making
perhaps doubting-
with time
in watching
with life
waiting and expecting-

another day
testing
challenging
frail though
I am
my best game
I will play-
there shall be
no walking away
nor failing!
I'm a word
you're a phrase
and when I'm the latter
you become a sentence proper-

I'm a paragraph
you're a chapter
and when I'm the latter
you become a
book entire-

I'm just words
you're the word-master

what more
can I say
my most
esteemed mentor?

An year ago began a story,
Like any other,
Two lovers live a tale,
A journey, a song ready to be played.

The Boy~

Chasing his dreams, the handsome boy knew no bounds,
Falling in love was the last thing his mind could topple around.
But destiny had a surprise in store,
His life was going to change,
His heart even more.

A dream came by,
Smile worth a million dimes.
His heart skipped a beat,
In that moment,
Destiny wrote their names,
with a heart in between.

He never thought someone could understand him so well,
To believe what he said,
To feel what he could not tell.

He knew he had found the one,
Whom he could trust,
Who cared for his innocence,
Whom he loved more than anyone.

Time passed, things changed.
Fights , ego , laughter,sorrow, paid a visit.
But the bond still remained,
Forged by destiny,
His love will always remain the same

The girl~

She had the world at her feet,
Excelled at everything,
But still,
A void remained down deep.

Meeting him, something struck her heart,
Her father's presence came to life.
She knew he was the one,
Whom she could trust,
Things she told none.

She found him a little dumb,
Naive to what the world had become.
She knew she had to protect him,
Against all harms life brought within.

To feel his touch was what she wanted,
But destiny put her to test,
Her wish was not granted.
Living at the mercy of fate,
She knew she could not stop,
He told her often"THIS TOO SHALL PASS".

Time passed, things changed,
Tears, silence, ego crept in.
But even then they came out as one.
Her love was something uncommon.
Even a thousand miles seemed less, often.

The Poet~

I can't tell you what is true,
I am a poet,
My poems are at the mercy of love's virtue

I feel this story has just begun,
To be remembered by many, not one.
Their love is pure,
I can feel it inside,
For I heard them whisper" FOREVER STAY BY MY SIDE."

I've seen them live,
I've seen them love.
Now I see them rest, beside one another.

A feet apart they lay,
My occasional visits and nature,
Are the only ones who stay.

Some days the winds blow heavy,
Nature uses its brute force.
I still stand in the rain,
My ritual cannot go in vain.

Just as I near the end of our conversation,
Something old catches my eye,
Engraved in the stones,
It still makes me smile.
My steps recede, the music silently dies..
The tombstones say
" FOREVER STAY BY MY SIDE".
I see the world today and lasting love seems to be a myth. The world works on change. People change faster than new clothes. And so does love. Short and sweet..
46 years—a story spun,
where words don’t age, but only run.
Through brittle bones and fleeting days,
your ink still shines in silvered ways.

A love that sparks in enthusiastic "HEY,"
a moment seized, no time to sway.
For what’s a life if not a chance,
to love, to lose, to dance in rain?

You write of loss, you write of pain,
yet make them sing in sweet refrain.
Even when time whispers “****, that’s old,”
your verses burn like fire to cold.

So tell me, poet, will you weave
more lines for hearts that ache, believe?
For every word you’ve let untwine,
I stand here reading, lost in rhyme.
In the soft glow of your sorrow,
where the sun fades, and shadows follow,
I see the tender ache in your verse,
each line a whisper, a silent curse.

“Seems Endless,” you write, and the moon listens,
reflecting the tears that your soul glistens.
In the night’s embrace, you break, you bend,
hoping the darkness would never end.

In Missed Connection, your heart speaks loud,
a love lost, yet covered by a shroud.
“I would trade my life for another day,”
for a smile that once chased your clouds away.

Guilt weighs heavy in your heart’s core,
a stain that no tears can restore.
But your words are rich, like wine aged deep,
capturing the pain that makes us weep.

In The Cost, you share the price of love,
how dreams shatter, pushed and shoved.
Yet in your heart, you still hope, still give,
for in your sorrow, we all learn to live.

You say it’s Too Late to turn back time,
yet in your regret, there’s beauty sublime.
To let go of love, to feel that sting,
a silent price that time cannot bring.

Love’s Altruism, you so plainly say,
is not in promises, but in the day-to-day.
To give with no return, to let love flow,
a lesson in grace that we all should know.

Jess, in every word you breathe,
there’s a truth that we all believe.
Your pain is poetry, your sorrow a song,
in the melody of life where we all belong.
Through every line, you paint the skies,
a beautiful soul who dares to cry.
Your words, like whispers, will always stay,
an echo of love that won’t fade away.
In every poem, in every plea,
Jess, you are the heart of poetry.
Sky so blue,
we walk as one.

Wind so soothing,
our fingers brush.

Eyes so deep,
I couldn't return.
Or maybe,
loved, then lost.
POV- You were unable to look away from her/him.....
