I'm living on an island of my thoughts
The surrounding water is full of sharks
Ready and eager to attack
Threatening me that I can't make it out alive
Like, I don't have what it takes to thrive
They want me to bow or succumb to defeat
But I'll rather fight and stand on my feet

Ever thought about a child with a disability
watching his/her friends through the window
jumping on the trampoline with tears in his/her eyes

Ever thought about an innocent man
serving time, getting instructions from a fellow man and the grieve in his heart

Ever thought of people going through pain they didn't deserve
Not like anyone deserves pain anyway
But some are stuck and can't find no other way

Yea, I will agree that life is not fair
Everyone is not getting an equal share
Some have way too much to bear
Some live everyday in tears...

I can't question the validity of the question
Is there really God?
I know to some, that question sounds odd
There is someone out there who just wants to know for sure

Does God Almighty exist?
Or it's just another myth
They said He created heaven and earth, the moon, the stars and the sun

These questions burn in someone's heart
What does He look like?
How do I reach him?
Can I talk to him? Would He reply?
Does He really love us?

Of course, He loves us dearly.
Of course, He listens and talks to us clearly
He sent His Son to die for us freely
It takes faith to be His and know His ways
Jesus is the gateway to Him
His gate is always open to all!

When people talk to me
I only hear one voice
When I look at people
I only see one face
With all the cologne around me
I only percieve one scent

Feels like I am submerged in you
Feels like my abode is you
Feels like my world is you
Feels like...
                              All I said is True!

I will do "this" task tomorrow
I think I've said that 7 days in a row
I wanna sleep now, I will do it when I'm awake
8am, I will start it after I watch this game
10am, alarm rings to watch an episode of my show
It's just 45mins long, I can't say no
11am, my friend wants to FaceTime
Oh, we haven't spoken in a long time
3hrs on the call, had to catch up on a lot of things
2pm, off to McDonald's for lunch
3pm, it wouldn't be bad to take a nap
5pm, let's see what's new on Instagram
Scrolling... Scrolling...
7pm, gotta fix my dinner
8pm, I'm not very effective at night...
I promise to do "this" task first thing tomorrow

I see us all as pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle
With each piece having a role to play in the bigger picture
Imagine if every piece looks exactly the same as others
Then we no longer have a picture but a solid color or a grid
Hence the reason for our beautiful differences
However, I think the whole piece is a little out of order
And to fix that, we have to be willing to trade places
Having a rigid standpoint is bad for the greater good
We all need one another, directly or indirectly
When I play my part and you play yours,
we'll both be contributing to create a better world — good for one and good for all.

Take off your robe and wig
And quit being a Judge
The person you are judging
Is at the peak of his battles

His guns are running out of bullets
He's losing it already
Your words and actions are missiles
You could be on his team,
Instead of aiming at him

Stop pressuring him
You are taking camouflage off his face
You have no idea what he's going through
The least you could do is let him be.

People often judge what they don't understand
To pass judgement is cheap but it could be highly expensive to the one receiving it
Before you write anyone off, try putting their shoes on
Your words are like a fresh egg, once you drop it, it breaks and you can never take it back intact
Don't give out what you don't want to receive
Not saying to condone that which is not right, but if the correction is not done in love and said in love, it's not done right.
Instead of dishing out judgement, dish out grace — generously.

Sound sleep is sweet
No nightmares, no dreams

Kids are adorable

We teach them in words of mouth to be good
But kids will emulate what they see
Eventually, they are baptized in the mean society

Always show little acts of kindness
If you can, offer the big ones too
It could heal the recipient's (unseen) wounds
It could spark hope again in the receiver

A "tiny" favor can make a person believe again
It could awaken a mustard seed sized faith
Powerful enough to move mountains
Offer the help expecting nothing in return

The night we kissed in the rain
It washed off all of my pain
I still remember that day up till this day
Like a mental replay
I think we should do it again

People often find imperfection in others
Just to make themself feel better
They pay attention to the speck in others' eyes
Ignoring the beam in their's
They shy away from their own deficiencies
But they can enlist that of others
They have failed to put their own life in order!

In these last days, people will step
on the altar, to alter the truth
misleading adults and youths—
who wouldn't look into Luke
plus the rest of the Scriptures
for/by themselves because they
have turned lukewarm themselves.

It's high time we perused the Word
so as not to misconstrue the truth
and to not be used by the world.
Every "bright" light is not the Sun
Don't follow man and miss the Son
You have to pick the side that you're on
It's a battle, you need your full armor
But the truth will prevail in the end.

You said you wanted to leave
I couldn't come up with reasons for you to stay
But this is what I would say...
Remember the trees during fall season
When the leaves drop
After few months, new and fresher leaves will spring forth
Leaves fall, leaves grow... The tree stays
I believe each leaf plays its part

This life is like an open sea

Is it fair to say life isn’t fair?

Someone is living in sound health,
Another accustomed to pain

Life seems to have multiple sides,
Different folks see different views
You never know what a person
is going through
Our experiences in life differ as
we all journey through
That’s why it’s important to be kind

like a soccer game
Anything above that age

It's thrilling to see what the future of the game holds
