Love
Illuminates,
Giving rise to
Honesty and
Trust

Trying to make others sad
Will not fix your sadness
Attempting to break another's heart
certainly will not heal your broken heart

Constantly dreaming of soaring
To float in the sky with the clouds
But how could he accomplish this
When carrying a backpack full of regrets

His gaze is not on his destination
Constantly staring at other's progress
How would he not be in distress

The things that we ought not to carry,
We clench unto them like floating devices
They are the actual cause of our drownings
Silently pulling our heads below the water

Let go of unnecessary burden
And become lightweight like the birds
You'll see how easy it is to fly
Reaching and exceeding your desired heights.

Live your dreams to the fullest,
ride on their wings.
Walk on water,
You have the power to do so locked within.
You're indomitable,
Push opposing thoughts under the table
You are more than able
Whoever said you're not enough,
doesn't know you enough
Don't be held back by their talking & stuff
Check inside you first, you're fully stocked
It's not about where you are right now,
It's about where you're designed to be
So get to work and make all these a reality.

Of all the forms of limitations,
the most restraining is that
which originates from the mind

A limited mind is figuratively blind
It wouldn't see even when opportunities
and the required resources
are before such eyes

A limitation thinking mind will
only zoom in on the challenges
No matter how tiny it may look

the obstacles in every path

This feeling that I'm loved by God
continues to be my strength,
The reason I believe I can reach
my desired length.

His abilities in me makes me able
Though my faith sometimes tremble,
His faithfulness stays perpetually stable
May I not take His love for granted
Because that's my recipe for success
God in/with me, a duo that's limitless.

I am black — And Yes, our lives matter
But beyond that, all lives matter to God
Irrespective of race, age, social class or gender
He laid down His life to pay the sins of ALL,
Every human being — living and the unborn
He did a perfect work and He said it's done
He called us all into one body – of Christ
The only thing that'll keep us joined is LOVE
Regardless how we might appear on the outside
We all need to see and accept us as one
And that's the only way we can truly live —
in peace and happily!

What does it mean to be truly living
Is it just by merely breathing
There should be more to it than just surviving

There must be a purpose to this life
Every creature must have a reason for its creation
There ought to be a question to which I'm a solution
My first question gotta be to find THE question

No question, no answer
No answer, no success
No success, no fulfillment
No fulfillment, no living!

Let's appreciate people while they're alive
After Nipsey Hussle (artist) was gone,
we started calling him King
I've seen this happen too many times

Let's take care of our old parents
while they're still around
Instead of blowing all our money
on their funeral

Let's tell people what they mean to us
And not wait till they depart from us
Let them reap their praises
while still here on earth
It will definitely gladden their heart.

Just like you (I'll guess), I also feel
uncomfortable being trapped in
the comfort of my own home.

Though I have internet, TV, PC, mobile phone,
game console, a fridge full of food, snacks,
fitness equipment, king-sized bed
But all of these feel incomplete without freedom.

Suddenly, the home that I always look
forward to be in, now feels like a cage.

But, let us not forget, some people are
actually stuck in real cages -


Solitary confinement, 23 hours a day in
prisons, jails and penitentiaries.
Sadly, some of them for offences
they did not even commit.

While we are protecting our own body system
they are being ******* by
government policies and system.

There might not be anything you and I
can do about it
But let us keep things in perspective.

We live in a time where
we trust the voice of the GPS
more than the voice of God.
Maybe a lot of us don't even know
what God sounds like.

A generation that cherishes
internet connection over
divine connection.
The hunger for power, money & fame
has taken over our love/reverence for God.

I hope we'll find our way back to our root.

Lost identity,
often searched for in
material possessions
Purchasing name brands
to replace what's interiorly missing
Glamorous exterior like
a well finished building
Only but with a foundation
that is weakened.

I just had a poetic line in my mind
Where did it go
It was so beautiful
Clearly, it was volatile too

Love doesn't hurt
Relationships do,
(depending on the binding force).
Love doesn't do wrong,
People do.
Love is pure & stays the same
But people often change.
Love is not a curse.
Love is true, it's people that lie.
There're stuff people hide
But love is see-through.
Love is usually wrongly accused,
But it's people that should be blamed.

Love is true and pristine
Fake love does not exist
If it isn't the real deal,
Remove the word - love
And simply call it deceit.

Love is the untainted force of life
Working in a person's life
Ridding all forms of strife
And causes the person to blossom!

What a haven, the arms of a loved one are.
What a joy, to give love and have it reciprocated to you.
What a sight, to see a couple of 30 years or more.
What a time, spent in an atmosphere of love.

What God wants is communion,

Jesus dined with the so-called "sinners"
Dump the "holier than thou" attitude
We may be different in so many ways
But we are of the same similitude
Religion is by no means the answer
Love is the way!

before it can be expressed outwardly

We all need to live in love so pure
That's the world ONLY cure!

I heard that love could possibly turn sour
I said, may that story never be ours
They said people do fall out of love
I said, may we be able to hold it together
even if the times become rough
I can't guarantee you days without storms
But I'll always be there to keep you warm
The kind' love that inspires & never expires
Even at the age when we become retired
May the love stay strong and untired
May it burn in our eyes like molten magma
Soft & undying love, whole & alive forever!

Love is the bond
That holds the cells of my body together
With the inner Me and the Universe

Time is the song
That never ceases to play
In this marketplace called life

Death is the gong
That sounds, sending us back home
Where we truly belong!

Firstly, love yourself
Secondly, love your neighbour as yourself
If you can't do the first, you can't do the second
If you do the first, don't stop there, obey the second!
