She was like a black rose,
such beauty in sadness.

The energy that night,
made it all seem so right

At midnight you had to say it,
I sneaked out for a bit

The rain was poring,
Bare feet, ignoring

Most of the conversation were giggles,
hearing your voice, say it, I felt tickles

‘I just need to tell you that I love you so much,
and I can't wait to see you'

It was the most beautiful lie,
to bad we had to say goodbye

Everyone is addicted to something
I just never thought my addiction would be you

There is sunlight in your eyes
and it is a place
I wish I could
escape to.
It is warm
and I am cold.

There is sunlight in your eyes
and I know
it does not
live in mine.
This cave I hide in
does not have room
for you.

There is sunlight in your eyes,
in the world
I used to be in.
Nothing grows here
anymore,
but weeds
and a grey sad.
My hands are covered with it.

There is sunlight in your eyes.
You are alive.
I don’t know what that feels like.

Like a flower in a storm,
break me down

Like a flower in the pouring rain,
I'm drowning

Like a flower in the winter,
freeze me to death

Like a flower in the desert,
crying myself to sleep

Like a flower waiting to bloom,
but never made it to spring

If you were a plate, fine china
I would, with all my strength,
throw it to the ground,
so you could feel, what it feels like
to shatter

Goodbyes are always hard,
but the hardest goodbye,
is the one with yourself.
When you grow, or get hurt to the point that you won't be the same anymore
