Pull me
into your tides.
I want to
get lost
in your water,
fight for
my breath,
and wash up
somewhere
far from
where I
was before.

Feeling insecure?
That’s no reason to gossip about the others and be rude
Feeling two-faced?
That’s no reason to blame others and be rude
Have no self-respect?
That’s no reason to disrespect others and be rude
Have crippling self-doubt?
That’s no reason to doubt others and be rude

Rude to yourself?
That’s no reason to be rude to the others

Don’t let him whisper
In your ear
That this virus
Will just disappear
Or that a cure
Is very near
In a word
He’s insincere

Don’t allow him
To make believe
That there’s some magic
Up his sleeve
That only he
Can retrieve
If the data
Is to be believed

In invincibility
He’d like to bask
So he refuses
To wear a mask
And now the dye
Has been cast
It’s become clear
He’s not up to the task

Obviously he’s
On a trip
While his poll numbers
Continue to slip
Like a captain of
A sinking ship
Too bad he hasn’t
Got a grip

Mr Poet
She who wanders into the road
Also wanders in someone's heart
Seeking for a faithful dove
Yet she seeks a faithful love

Now I think

Simpleton
Now that I look back
A feeling of daunting realisation sinks my stomach
Every incident you've ever told me about
I no longer see you as the victim
I wonder why I had so much sympathy
Now that you've done to me what you did to them
I think
Maybe it was you all along
Maybe you were the chaos
But I took you in my arms
Comforted you
And soothed your arrogance
Mistaking it for hurt

So who is the one at fault?
Now that I think about it
I was wrong about you all along

It is a major city
But in this case, it’s Amtrak’s version of the city of New Orleans
The train travels through the Dixie and into the Ozarks
Mountains and trees that compliment the rails
Station stop in various parts in between being the destination trails
The City Of New Orleans having that Jazz feel
Rhythm within the train and pulsating onto the rails
The diesel engine is steadily pulling
Destination on impact with fulfilling
The Southern scent of the Deep South
Creole cooking that would excite any Traveller’s mouth
Welcome guest South
The City of New Orleans led the way
Now fellow Travellers, New Orleans is your getaway
