veiled behind the barbs of acacia
the river bathes in the lazy sun

she's a thousand years or more
but knocks my heart's door
like a flirtatious teen

come deflower me
bare me in your poetry
wear me on your skin

soon she would be lost to the sky
leaving on the banks echoes of her lust

i pause for a piece of her
before my dream turns to dust!
a river (my cover photo)
tried to save you that one last time--
you told me it would be in vain,
but i stubbornly refused to believe
that i couldn't erase your pain.

did every thing i knew to do--
held you in my arms all night long
and still i just couldn't win --
seems all my efforts were so wrong

but now that you're gone and no longer with me
i sit and weep my heartfelt tears
and i cannot help but wonder what if
we'd just had a few more good years...?
Our lives are just like books
Filled with numerous chapters
We may not like what’s inside
But turning the page and
Continuing the story
Is the only way to move on
The cold snow
fell upon the memories
and whited out the pain

The hungry wolf looks out
across the frozen tundra
and forgets his pain

Dreaming of a warm
summer rain
only to go out
and **** again

Knowing inside
is trapped
the lamb
in wolf clothing
A college education
diploma's in 3 different fields
But born in a country
filled with poverty

She took a change
for a better life
but without papers
so without rights

She's positive
says her life is better here
And then she gets up, and continues
cleaning my mothers living room
Its so dark!
Its not the state of darkness
That I hate;
Its the fear it brings with it..
The fear of not knowing
Were I am.

Wow!
You are so bright!
Straight from the abyss of
My darkness
You light me up.

Yet,
Its still dark.
Its not the darkness
That I hate;
Its the fear it brings with it..
The fear of not knowing
Were I am going.

So be light,
Take today and
Illuminate me
From the dangers of yesterday
Through to the hopes of tomorrow.
It
Wouldn't
****
If
It
Wasn't
Real
So
Bite
Me
Again
And
Immortality
I
Will
Gain.
