Contradiction Dec 2017
Never before has stillness been so moving;
Vulnerability yes, fearlessly inspiring.
This moment in time that is so temporary,
But the effect so powerful, will stay indefinitely

So quietly chaotic, but peaceful in mind,
In a life of reflection: freedoms I find
A moment so grounded, floating on air
to touch the intangible, daring to care.

Her hands move over me, such;
exploratory precision.
So destructively perfect
A Beautiful collision

The gentle strength- felt by her touch
The terrifying confidence of unshackled trust
The need for control, complete self reliance
Now desired and cared for, a potential alliance

To be so comfortable with complete contradiction,
So hopelessly hopeful…
So full of conviction.
Poem about the new beginnings of a relationship
Contradiction Dec 2017
I trust in you as I trust the sun to rise,
This is exciting, the bluest of skies.
No need to pretend, no need hide;
No room for fear,no room for pride.

So easy to give but so tough to earn,
Betrayals of the past, hard to unlearn.
Believe in me for I will always be here,
The gift of your faith, i will always hold dear.

Trust is not fragile, but so easily broken
Words often fail us but faith is not spoken
To trust so completely, out on a limb
Its not fear that i feel, not given on whim

Such respect & admiration for everything you do,
The person you are, this is now a time for you
Be proud of yourself,for you are so brilliant
Your past and your present, a life so resilient
Contradiction Dec 2017
Loneliness is;

Being surrounded by a wealth of people
Forever feeling so poor.
To observe and have so much to say
Communication a chore

The gulf of distance between two friends
Despite being so close
The desire to celebrate and entertain
But nobody to host

To be sat in the warm glow of the fire
But feel so bitter with cold
See life going on all around you
Never truly in the fold.

To know of your family's embrace
But never be held.
To understand the beauty of colour,
But only see grey.

I am here,
Can you see me?
Do I matter
To any degree?
