The Rainbow's Perspective
Ar Feb 2015
I saw a rainbow,

Looking at our dreadful situation.

You notice the colors it gives,

But,
It's the inverted smile I see,

Like happiness faltering to its curve,

Just masking it with ROYGBIV.

Even so,
It never fails to share every hue,

To lift every mouths to grin,

And to give color to the greyscale scene.
A random poem for a random day after randomly seeing a random rainbow.

Little Things
Ar Jan 2015
I know someone.
He lives for the minuscule things,

For the few minutes of sunrises,

Down to the seconds of sunsets,

For the moments the wind blows the dandelions,

For the tiny drops of rain to his shoulders,

All of those, he takes a shot.

“He’s weird,”
I thought.

I asked him,
“Why bother?”

I’ll never look at things the same way again.

"Love the little things.

Love the minutes the sky holds a different color.

Love the wind that lets you have a chance
to wish for a promising tomorrow.

Love the rain for it cries for or with you.

Because those things just give a simple notation,
You’re still alive.”
Just a reminder for anyone who says these small things are worthless

He fixed it
Ar Jan 2015
I threw my heart away.

It's a bundle of shipwrecks.

Until he told me,
"That's not a way to fix it."

I pushed him away, too, just like my heart.

Only then, I had a glance of his hands.

It was a mess.

With wounded hands,

his grip was constant,

To the beating heart he had mended.

Did I Love You Wrongly?
Ar Jan 2015
She was only a child,

Tranquil in the distance,

Didn’t know a thing about love.

You came, and with just a subtle effort,

She let you in.

Innocence became thinner,

Established a lot of
firsts.
Every action led to a downward *****.

“At last! Someone loves me,” she thought.
You made her want to see every light of dawn.

She thought wrong.

She was just a child,

Tranquil in the distance,

Didn’t know a thing about love.

That’s why she never got the chance,
To differentiate receiving someone’s love,
From feeding on broken trust.

Blinded by her feelings,

Fooled by your words,

Suppressed her senses to the inevitable,

Confined herself in the “us” world.

She was still a child,

Yet, you ruined her tranquility.

She didn’t know a thing about love,

So you gave her falsity.

You came and made an elusive effort,

For her to let you in,

Then left her to wonder,

“Did I love you wrongly?”

On/Off
Ar Jan 2015
I was completely stunned.
We just went our separate ways.
A simple goodbye did it.
You didn't turn around.
It ended with a "Perhaps it's
for the best" cliché in my head.

I was doing rather well.
So near to deliverance.
Then, I remembered.
"I turned around."
And so, the cycle went on again.
Admit it. There are days you wish it's not over. (Or that's just my dilemma?)

Dandelions
Ar Jan 2015
She ran into the forest.
They detested her,
even if she just did her best.
She found a spot, under a tree.
Dots of silver teased her,
"Come, see me."
With sweaty hands,
she picked with a swift gesture.
She held, it collapsed,
"What could I've done wrong?"
She took another, this time with caveat.
Still, it fell apart, in a usual format.

"Am I that destructive?"
She asked herself.

"No. Look."

The steady beads of pearls were, dancing?
Piles of rubble lifted to the sky,
like stars in the early morning.
The wind lingered, blew them quite gently
Magnificence is painted around the vivid scene she's seeing.
She inhaled every beauty.
Then, exhaled every shattered dream.

"You're right, whoever you are,
There's still beauty in breaking."

Would have been
Ar Jan 2015
Your eyes steal every glistening dew from last night's coldness,
Ironically warming my spirit.
Your mouth speaks to me,
Even when you have nothing to say. It suits my silence.
Your hands are chiseled with curves and grooves,
Perfectly fit the ridges of mine.

Everything we have says we're perfect.
"You and me,"
It would have been a great reality.
