You're a person with a standard,
Of your life, I look to become a part.
Me you'll never find meandered,
For you, I'll prepare the custard.
You may call it a pudding if desired,
Or you may just consume that.
But you be well-mannered,
I need you humble & well-behaved.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heavens opened up
And showered their
Pure blessings on you
Promising new reasons for
You to be happier than ever
Beginning this year
Is this saga of love
Right from our hearts
That will end not ever,
How we met was amazing,
Dark days of anonymity,
Ahead for some more time,
Yet I shall really make it work.
My dear best friend,
You promise me today
Should this love never fade,
Ever with the tides of time,
Loving me will be your elixir and
Forever shall I always love you faithfully.
Everyday is a birthday
The best friend here, is myself.
I was born in 1990.
For you, I am an artist,
My art is music,
My art is love.
For you, I am a soldier,
My duty is guarding,
My duty is protecting.
You lost someone special,
I'm an addition new,
Do not worry, dear,
I'm here to stay here.
1.
But as of the present,
I'm only into bookkeeping,
As in I keep an eye on my assets.
2.
Those complex ratios are absent.
I'm currently into learning,
Later, I might go deep.
3.
I learnt non-medical sciences at school,
Went on to read biotechnology at college,
And ended up earning money in commerce.
4.
Those ratios can obviously wait until I learn.
I love what life till 33 has shown,
So far, it has shone.
5.
Haters will hate,
Like potatoes will potate,
The jealous will get deep-fried.
6.
I have my tasks to shoot down,
My affluence would increase.
And parents will be proud.
7.
This is the determination of the fallen—mine,
All that, I'll humbly reclaim what I had lost,
Alone or with a companion, it's to be seen.
I was born in 1990,
Only 8 days shy of 1991.
Still, I am Generation Y.
She was born in 2000,
Nearly 6 weeks into it.
She's Generation Z.
Still, she responded to me,
Actually her mother did.
The matrimonial ad.
My parents had flashed it,
In a timely manner, they hoped,
That I can be married.
So, I went to their home,
I liked her for her youth.
And of course her eyes.
She was truthful and frank too.
She told me what she wanted,
She wanted a mature man.
When I told her that I was an artist,
She loved my poetry,
And commended my creations.
Soon that 'misunderstanding' happened,
And the Miss felt she was standing under,
To equate herself with me, she berated me.
Oh, I do want to marry her still,
Because in her I see a lot of potential,
But she'll have to change her behaviour.
And as she can't change,
Things she will have to realise.
I don't think that she can apologise.
There's a generation gap between us,
And the next generation can't say sorry,
Or just accept their mistake with humility.
I forgot what I forgot,
So, I've moved on,
And happily so.
Was it someone's jibe,
Taken at me sadistically,
Or was it something else?
Sorry, I forgot,
I forgot that again,
But it's perfectly fine.
