Mine is just another room lit in the cold of the night —
this just another poem in a bedside drawer,
written by just another girl
whose windows she left open to talk to the moon —

it's just another liar

to another naive girl, reading into every word,
splashing into every wave, rising.

Oh, to drown in grace
under the moonlight
was not something I'm supposed to know;
now, didn't you think
I already was broken enough
to have this dress, all drenched,
these cheeks, all wet,
these boats, all wrecked?

The moon is just another liar,
and epiphany is just a pretty word
for truths, finally unveiling themselves

as betrayal,
as ache,
beguiled by the moon to spread,
to map these bones and joints,
flooding,
claiming my body for its own;
now all this hurting is the ocean
and I, a whale carcass.

And the moon is a liar and the windows are closed

and in these moon-forsaken sheets,
I do not know where to start healing first.

Reunite, in an embrace,
Sleek black and white keys and fingertips of lace,

Dance away!
Until the frothy winds weep,
Until my curious eyes wane,

Weave those strings of emotion
into a muslin-mist melody.

Intoxicate this mellow dream
with coffee rhythm and cinnamon notes

Let your song inspire me again
as it hushes to pianissimo
and dissolves into the summer shadows.

"encore!"
Sometimes, music is all that makes sense.

Gone were those days
when we laughed with the butterflies,
coloured the cotton candy clouds,
danced with the ocean tides,
built castles of sand,
whistled the wind's sound,
and held the sun in our hands.
Together.

I still paint your name across the sky,
Do you still catch the stars for me?

The day betrays again,
Pallor crawls over my entirety
Mirrors are no longer the truth
Ashen grey swallows the only moon

My blood rejoices
My tainted, traitorous blood!
Your blood.
Cascading through my veins

Fated to this murk,
Shackled to your presence
Fading into a daze, slowly,
As frost singes this dread

No!
This will not be my ruin,
I will decide my own doom
This curse shall be undone!

O Count De Ville
My dagger shall impale your heart!

Whiling away
Comes easy
Trying takes a lot of trying

Don’t ever quit
You have immense potential
Believe in yourself

Express and communicate
Your fears your beliefs
It’s freeing a relief

Regrets and progress
Part of the process
Of finding true self

Be limitless

To thine own naked lunch be true.

Nonetheless,
she knows where from the prolonged gaze
resides.

She knows it's as central to life
as a breath of newborn air.

Yet, she confronts it,
she queries it.

Why must love
Be thunder and hunt?

Why can't it stretch it's limbs out,
languid in the diffused light?

Like morning awakening
to bluebell carpets in soft spring,

Where the revealed flesh can
unfadingly upon float.

When will it learn to sit with her,
quietly, and partake
of such nakedness together...?
