We are being held hostage
by our fears,

We are fighting so hard
not to unleash our tears.

We are sinking
into the ground,
as we walk into the bellies
of many a horrific
and catastrophic storm,

We are trying
to hold our hearts together
because they are in pieces -
they were heartlessly broken to bits
and torn.

We are lost in a maze,
and we are completely out of breath,

We are staring into a ******* hole -
our pending final resting place,
upon our lonely death.

We are spinning out of control,
We are scared of falling
into the dark void - that intimidating
black hole.

We are all alone in a world
that is unfamiliar to our minds,
and to our shattered souls,
in every way,

We are in survival-mode
every single mentally overwhelming,
challenging, but blessed, new day.

A bad run
Doesn't mean a bad life!
Everyday is a blessing.
Life can be cruel, but the blessing is in each new sunrise, each moment with our loved ones, and each forward step we take.

The sun will shine in due time,
We have to take the good with the bad.

We are warriors!
We are grateful!
We are blessed!

I thought I had something to write,
but instead I'm buzzing strangely
as if I'm a conduit for the lost currents in the air,
   The static electricity.

I yearn to untangle.

My insides are a coil of jumper cables
and perhaps I'll take up yoga.

And then I will write a story that weighs more than the factory which made the pen,
And it will be such that the whole world will read it
and weep.
And the whole world will be that one guy who rows the gondola boat in city park
because I will have left it
by the dock.
And all the people will return again and again
To purchase another ride,
To sit in his boat and glide on the water
and hear him tell the story,

And their tears will fill the lake.
The man who rows his gondola boat in City Park makes his living this way. They say that just before the storm* he felt it coming so he sank his gondola boat down in the water, and when the storm had passed he returned. He swam down, released his boat so it may float back up to the top and it surely it rose, unharmed.

I'm in love with pretty brown eyes
Sparking like the stars in the sky
And a voice so sweet, I always melt
My legs grow weary when he smiles

I think of him for days and nights
Of how gently he strums the guitar
And although oceans apart we are
Not once have I felt his hands were far

Oh what I'd give to see that smile
Or spend every morning by his side
But all I could do is look up high
And tell the stars and deities divine

"As long as you're happy, I'll be fine"
Special thanks to my muse hjs; Dedicated to those who give the most selfless kind of love.
I shall Love each of you Forever and ever.
For you are beautifully created by our Creator.
I have been Blessed by our conversions we had.
I am so Overjoy, by your poetry that I read daily.
For he has created us to Love one another here too.
To fellowship with one another in this here Life too.
Which is what we do here when we share our hearts desires.
We open up to other people on how we feel and Love.
So I am very thankful to have met each of you here on HP.
I am not the girl
Who the boys
Buy flowers to
Or love endlessly

I am not the girl
Who the girls
Want to be
Or be with

I am the girl
Who writes sad
Poems and listens
To music late a.m.

If life is death's coping mechanism
Love is life's way to say
"Sorry about all that, friend.
Here, have something good in the end."
And it will be no fun sometimes
It will hurt as any journey does
It will teach you, learn you, sear and burn you
But when life gives in to death's warm hand,
You'll know you've loved, and it'll be grand.
A follow-up to "A Brief Explanation of Life and Death". Thankfully, it's not nearly as dark.

We Made History Today

We
Spoke out.
We
Rose above.
We
Said no, not good enough.
We
stood tall
and
We
won't fall
for falsehoods and ignorance.
We
will move forward.
Protect our loved ones
and
We
will
prevail.
