the last time
i tried to
hold it tight

perhaps it was
poisoned by past lovers
and they've forgotten
to hand you the antidote

or maybe,
you've wrapped it
with sharp thorns;
like a wild garden
unexplored and afraid
to be trampled on

whatever it is,
it's spreading to me;

it's from the time

If I die of the Plauge
I would want to be remembered
Not as a victim
But as a healthy
And happy

If I die of Ebola

But as a beautiful
And diligent girl
Who created art.

If I die of rabies

Not as an aggressive victim
But someone
Who brings compassion
And kindness.

When she smiles
Everyone around her
Glows a little brighter

life becomes drunk with happiness

when you self vaccinate
the parasite that’s
running throughout
your immune system
and stop the
infectious toxicity
from spreading

such
poison
that
is
the
quality
of her

In your picture I saw
Thought you were looking at me
An infectious smile sans flaw
Is what I could still see
My lips widened mocking your smile
