How do I forgive my eyes
for their weakness
turned to tears
in the middle of my sleep?
For all the times
I’ve been awake at night
apologizing to the pillow
for never being able
to keep it dry.

because your heart
has already experienced
death before.

of anger and discontent
and we feel obligated to
show our artworks

Let me be your stuntman
to love you
when you don’t have
the courage to.

Showers make you
vulnerable.
You are naked,
not only your body
but your soul too

The thoughts running
through your head
as the water runs
through your skin

Not knowing if it is
actually water
or maybe tears.

inside of us.
So take this poem,
title it with your name,
listen to the beautiful
verses your heart
dictates to you
and write them down.
