When I make the bed it means I love you,
and we are okay.
You'll feel cared for and warm when you pull back
the sheet and sink yourself in.
When I make the bed it means I want you to know
I care about us even though it's easy to leave everything rag-a-muffin
as mom says,
"a heap of business."
It isn't my routine or my chore.
When I make the bed,
When you change the sheets.
It is our loving each other and preparing a bower
for dreams and whispers.
It doesn't cost a dime when we don't have a penny,
and when there's only popcorn for dinner,
I'm making our bed.
It isn't a question.
I am making it up neat,
With hospital corners,
Putting all that heap of business right again.
The PTO moms say,
"Food is love."
I don't doubt it.
But when there isn't milk,
I'm making our bed.

Lost in rays of acclaims, is the single dad.
For whatever reason that he is?
Many guys lives up to the challenge.
They request no accolades.
They ask for no honors at all.
Yes, there are some males that can do it all.
Attend PTO meetings.
Attend sport events.
And have sisters, aunts, mothers to support them.
Sometimes these Super women mothers forget to mention them.
The single dad that loves their child attention and do the home work and more.

this time of year
so they don't disappear
i use my vacation days
i sit in a haze
thinking of ways
to justify deep hibernation
or at least a migration
to a southern location
until the warm weather's return
but for now I must burn
the hours I earn
because I must use them
or lose them

Oh, they deserve the credit due to them.
Yes, they deserve it.
We very aware of their importance in our lives.
They the supporter.
They the cheerleader.
They true teachers.
Attend any school PTO meeting and you'll witness it.
They just don't get enough credit.
Yes, not enough credit.
Attend any preschool and watch them leading them to school.
Well, a few fathers does too.
But mothers are the rock of a child's life.
That personal foundation that makes it right.
But, they don't get enough credit.
Then, we know it.
We just have to show it.

Cut the jibber jabber,
This ain't for smiles and giggles.
People dying, people lying,
And people playing victim.
People not standing,
Some people not sitting;
But what's the freaking difference?
Look at the big picture.
America still killing black folks off,
And they want us to NOT protest?
My hat goes off! To Colin kaepernick and anybody taking a stand, or a seat to show America that we're not playing. That's my stance.
Talking changes to be made and black lives matter.
You can argue that all lives matter,
But, BLACK LIVES MATTER.
Cops is out here killing black men and getting PTO, being acquitted for some **** that if the skin color was switched they would get life fo'.
I know you hear the difference,
I know you see it too.
Trump wanna make the states great? That only makes me blue.
Cause he don't even see the struggles, or know what "equal" means; he only sees the money, you know that pasture green.
Make us great again?
Make us great again?
Only way to make us great is if we bleach our skin.
Make us white, then we equal - that's what they really want.
I bet I got trump supporters shaking their heads like "you said it. Well done ..."
Cause what you voting for? If you voting for him.
I mean Hilary's a stretch too but at least she feels more empathy and is more supportive than him.
That's the difference:
Who be in it for power and the checks,
Verse the ones who be in it for the love and respect....

Your memories will sure **** me someday,
Our memories together I mean here,
Unto the moon range our memories.
So today I dare you to ask a doc,
To refresh each of your memo,
Individual and selfish as you,
Love you do only your egor,
Least concerned about your own folks,
Never cared for what they are.
Look again into my eyes -oh- so lonely,
Upto the stars and beyond ranges the memo,
Vealed are your emotions unlike you.
Minutes were hours when I was loved,
End of my love is impossible to do.
