Bereft of words
we sit like fools
across the wooden table.

Eyes swaying shyly
to catch glimpses
of each other.

She turns her head
to hide her flushing cheeks
and rosy curled smile.

Her blooming beauty
stirs hidden butterflies
toward spring blue skies.

The devil, conquered.
Dark enlightened by knowledge.
The void filled by man.

Death should be certain
for time to ensure renewal
by pulling life's curtain.

Be fearful of what lives forever
as hubris clouds its mind
and terror will be its only lever.

We are delirious to fathom creation
of a god without its creators flaws.
Beware of this eternal aberration.
