I could tell you a tale
Of eyes like his or of hair like hers
And how such moved, or was, or is
But this is known
To all imaginations
That the retelling and told
Of an already known
Will not change your life
Though the telling of who
To whom through you
May yet remold
Your life into an amalgamate
Simply. They'll never know for sure. Unless you tell them that it's about them.

hell is a place where
you constantly love those that
do not love you back.

The universe puts her headphones on
And plays her favorite track
The raindrops in the meadow burst
And soak the earth
And with her feet up on the world
She smiles from ear to ear
And plays it back
What songs does the universe listen to? Is there a more beautiful sound than the rain falling in the secluded meadow. Truthfully, I don't know. But I do love the sound of these words as they roll off the tongue. YUPP!

BIG THANKS to everyone who liked, commented, and helped make this verse the Poem of the day (on 05/18/18). I really appreciate it! You can listen to me read this poem live on SoundCloud. Just follow the link and have an awesome day!

saige
my heart was in my throat
and my throat was on fire
but the flames lost their lustre
once they brushed your blond hair
and it was crackle and crash
and i burned that in my mind
as the blaze took my eyes
on a long, black ride
i love you, i choked
before over taken with smoke
there were sunsets around us
but only ash when i woke

Confused
Should I sleep all day?
‘Cause I didn’t sleep last night
Midnight
1:00 o’clock
2:00 o’clock
3:00 o’clock
4:00 o’clock
Then more
Watched the dawn break
Then fall asleep
Now caught in a quandary
Will I sleep tonight?
Should I even try?
All over again
Confused
