'What does a sculptor see in the rock?'
'None, dear child, none and nothing.'
'What does the tailor see in the frock?'
'Naught, dear child, naught and nothing.'

'Tell me, what does the musician see in his song?'
'Little, dear child, little and less.'
'What does a philosopher see in the wrong?'
'Too much, dear child, too much and distress.'

'But, what does a pilot see in the sky?'
'A bit, dear child, a bit and a little.'
'What does the poet see in my eye?'
'Something, dear child, something at least.'

'Daddy, what do you see in the smoke?'
'So much, dear child, much and more than you.'
'And what do you see when your voice shrinks to a choke?'
'Dear child, so much I cannot still scream.'

'I'll tell you what I see, and not for my youth
I see a statue, an elfin body, a melody and truth,
I see the clouds and the freedom to fly,
I see the hope and the faith in my eye.

In the smoke, Daddy, I see nothing but air,
In your choke I hear needless despair.
I grew up to love you, and love you I do
But I can never see things in the same way as you.'

The father, he blushed and spoke out so strong,
'Darling, I wished to be free,
But now I can see that without you I'm wrong
**Without you I cease to be me.'
Hopefully this strikes a chord with someone out there. Stay hopeful.

It's funny how
Food makes allergies,
But people, people
Make anxieties

Nuts make me red
Fish make me choke
I can't eat this, but
You and I are fine.

Let's see you when
You see some skeleton
Of the someone you shared
And you suffocate.

When I hear you I go red,
When I talk to you I choke
I can't see you, but
Food and I are fine.

Nourishment has two meanings,
I feed from you,
But obviously
I'm allergic to what you give me.
Allergies and people; both can be toxic.

I stand on top of my little world
And scream his name
Over and over.
The absence, the want
They drive me insane,
And I wait for the day
I hear the hills echo back
My name.
If only I knew what name to yell... :/
It's been a long night,
The lavishly dressed rich, with their expensive clothes,
party like there's nothing wrong in the world.
I hide my bruises, and offer hors d'oeuvers.
Servitude has not been kind.
Mistakes are not tolerated.
Life as a servant has left me feeling like a lampshade,
Useful, but rarely noticed.
I offer a convincing smile,
They prefer to ignore the sadness.
They drink away the pain,
And party away life.
Life's more playful,
If you pretend nothing hurts,
This came from a prompt to use the words: bruises, lampshade, and convincing.
I don't want to name it.

Patience, lord grant me patience
I'm gonna break and I can no longer take it
basics, all I need are the basics
everything is fake and I'm gonna break it

(I guess I'll fall behind
I'll never be in first place
my life ain't a contest
it's just a hearse race)

status, I don't need no status
why do we buy everything they throw at us
habits, I am breaking the habits
I'd rather be last than first in the madness

I was standing atop the mountain
and the wind blew west
and I could see the leaves follow after her

I was standing atop the mountain
and as the snow fell I could see the smoke rise
and the ash became angels

I was standing atop the mountain
and the rams were fighting where she used to stand
and as one fell I had to look away

I was standing atop the mountain
and the sun was setting
and I could see the colors bleeding all over the sky

I was laying in the valley
and the rain made me cry
For someone special.

I've spent a lot of time on this planet
watching these creatures who inhabit
they say god made it, and it's granted
god won't be the one to **** it

for every gun there's someone to man it
flies with barrels aimed at maggots
they build a fire, then they fan it
flames pull them in like a magnet

they **** each other, and they even plan it
on this planet where I have landed
mankind are the ones wreaking havoc
it's hard for me to understand it
