We look up at the stars and think they're beautiful
But the tragic truth is that most of the stars in the sky are already dead
I guess that's why we leave flowers on headstones
Because somewhere in our history, death has become beautiful
Never try to dull your passions
you might just succeed.
Describe the color blue without using the word blue.*

It is the color of her eyes as you talk to her at five in the morning, just before the sun rises up. It's the color of her skin, illuminated by the hues of the skies—pale, cold, and fragile yet all at the same time safe. It's the feeling of her fingers left untouched by someone whose hands could fit perfectly in hers like puzzle pieces. It's the pulse of her heart as you walk up in her front door while she acts like she isn't home. It's the color of the waves crashing inside her brain, a mind so engulfed by an ocean of thoughts it's difficult to sway along. It's the color of her body as she walks away from you, almost like drowning—the weight crushing her slowly and then, dead all at once. It's the color of her tears, as she realizes how awful it had to be to leave you when what you two had could've been something more but will never be.

My professor said
Write on the board
What you want most in life
I wrote the word "****"
Not because i'm a pervert
I just always wanted
To see that word
On a dry erase board
In big letters
War's the cause
of many a
young man's
untimely
death?
..and I don't forget the many, many young women either.

Sam Temple
facing frustration with a renewed faith
faceless masters attempting to **** my buzz
through alteration of company policy
I kick and scream
on the inside
using my game face to face the situation –
I face my foes in the foray
fidgeting and feeling froggy
I jump at the chance to plead my case
charts and graphs backed by statistics
and a power point presentation
my plucky spirit is plucked
by punks in pastel purposefully
pandering to posers on pedestals –
defeated, yet invigorated
I mount my comeback
pull an old face from the cedar chest
and look the pair of curmudgeons
square in the eye
I am valuable
necessary
dare I say,
needed…
and all I ask
is to be treated the same as always
all ways –
