Looking like my princess
In that long lavender dress
Walking so elegantly
With those heels, you're taller than me
But you've always towered over me
With your style and your beauty
Love struck to the max
Nothing keeps me away from you
Not a word anyone says makes a difference
Because all I want to do
Is see you move
Dance for me and smile
They'll never understand
How special you are to me
My arms around your waist
My head buried into your neck
Kissing you softly
Teasing just slightly
The night ends
And I take you to bed
Love you all night
Holding you till the end
Morning comes
And you're my princess again
Wrapped up in soft sheets
Hoping these moments of pure bliss
Last forever

Leo tolstoy wakes me up
when he tells me about snakes and lizards and flies

somebody new brings me to breakfast
and she buys me pancakes and orange juice and happiness

a young boy joins me in a walk to the co-op
and he holds my hand and teaches me how to be quiet

i am alone for lunch

a creature with three legs but pretty eyes drives me home
and he teaches me about love and empathy and trust

a man in a long coat throws a frisbee with me in the park
the wind on my face is littered with freedom and nice words

an old friend takes me to dinner
and she enlightens me on goodness

a handsome lad falls asleep with me in my bed
and dreams of ours tickle me throughout the night
i can learn from all of you

You are my axis,
from the root of the earth,
through my heart,
to the star field,
and back.

I can't see you,
but I can feel you;
like balance, you are always there
yet often I have to find you again.

Throughout the day
I am many animals:
leaping, cavorting, laughing,
hiding, crafting, contemplating...
There are times when I stop transforming
and I am either a shadow or a light,
a husk or a seed.

I don't know why it isn't easier.
But I can feel that axis,
that right place.
That place where the chaff
falls away
and I remember that I am alive.

You are my axis,
from the root of the earth,
through my heart,
to the star field,
and back.
I talked to you
About all the mixed up stuff
Kept away in my head

You were understanding
And helpful
And it was great
And if felt so much better than usual

You helped me so much
When I thought you would get mad
But you didn't
And I'm so thankful for everything you do
Thanks you know who you are!

Peeka
A small boy watched his brother
Happy as could be
One spun and twirled and loved a balloon
It was all he ever did need.
Somehow, someway the balloon popped
Right in his hands
He stopped.
They stood together for a moment
A silent weep shook through
One brother saw the other's tears fall
And knew what to do.
He hugged his shoulder
Picked up the plastic remains
Walked on side by side
Sharing a single pride
For one brother’s burden is both brothers’ fight.

One of these days my
Heart will stop beating so ****
Fast when I see your name and
All this time I was
So sure I was
Done with this

You make me feel like
I'm in heaven;
you're the angel who
guides me through the
darkness of my
mind--
Who would've thought
that truth be told,
You became the devil that
trapped me
inside his hellish heart.

How can I lead others out of the darkness

When I'm still lost?
What i have thought about since the day I found out about you
