Cruising around
convo to convo
One in sight
Two to crumble

Warmth in a tuck
Surely not luck
Affection explained
Like a knife that stuck

Ahead you go
Catch up's the game
Foot off the gas
"let me explain"

Exhausted by agony
Yet still we journey
Highway to love
Keep the engine furny

Elephant shoes
Recite your lips
More than just words
More of what fits

All has been penned
Love still remains
A rose that is red
Shall not be in vein.
Too my Girlfriend for Valentines day.
Our relationship so far.
Valentine flower
All that every girl wants for valentine
But you are all that I want each day of my life
Like everything I desire in embedded in you
I hope you choose me over flowers
For unlike them, I'm here to last
But you are my valentine flower
Red like the roses
Beautiful like the lilies
And you are your own vase
Instead of water, I wanna pour my love unto you
That it sticks your roots firmly in the soil
Helps your branches rise
Keeps your petals always attractive
I wanna to be your dream come true
Your best defence
Your everyday inspiration
I want to help you with everything you plan to do
That you do it knowing you are not alone
That I'm always close whenever you need me
I can't promise to stop with the compliments and stares of you whenever you walk
For I know you are the one for me
I don't need to look any further, I just have to focus on what's in front of me
I wanna share everything of mine with you
My smiles and my pain for only you understands me better than anyone else

A lifetime of true love
And I'll always love you with all my heart
And our love grows stronger every day
So there's only one thing left to say
Will you be my Valentine's today.
Valentine's Day
David P Carroll Feb 2021
Valentine's day is today
So please be my valentine anyway and
Be my lover my sweetheart my best friend
Do not make me cry today or toss me away
So keep me safe and warm and promise you'll
Be my Valentine today.
Valentine's Day 🌹

A dreary time of year.
It's cold
and colorless,
a monochromatic
void.
I can't see the stars.
The 14th is coming.
Ugh.
Reminding me of all
that I desperately want
but cannot have.
A perfect happy ending.

When the clock tick-tocks
It's time to get out of the box
Just as the rooster crows
Gotta make some toasts

When the sun greets the lands
I'll warm your hands
Hold it tightly as possible
Chuckling, hearing your stomach grumble

We'll spend the whole antemeridian
Blissfully, with no plans
Sipping tea with our favorite cups
No distance-no gaps

It was last year
the day they embrace
their love,
all of them,
it was then
I declared my own.
Seeds were sown,
In the sun then
her face shone,
it was me alone
who could see,
the seeds growing
into our sweet union's tree.
But as fate would have it,
it's their union's fruits
that the tree bore,
and it was almost as if
an encounter with death
deep inside my core,
there was rebirth then,
a man with the whole earth
to his name as if,
it is indeed land galore,
to sow seeds
until one day a tree grows
just like it's seeds it's pure,
bearing fruits
it should've always bore.

Roses are red, violets are blue
A dinner you promised, just me and you.
Reproving winds lectured me in bites
For my barely-there skirt, and lustful eyes.

Sour cream lathered that oily exterior.
The aftertaste lingered, creating a barrier
Of which soft lips could not break through
Nor embellished flowers or chocolate fondue.

With our stomachs full, with more than just food
You brought me back home with beer-stained shoes.
My mind a fog. The Lamb now waits to be skinned
For the Wolf that set the ****** trap to finally begin.

Virginal blush, tinged with her bruises all blue
A dinner you had promised, just me and you.
