In glorious flight owning daylight
You magistrate freedom across
An ocean with your own box
Of twilight that you share
In a land of fish
A moonlit wish
With wings that
Kiss the
Sky

Throughout your expeditions to ground
Your voice is a dynamic sound
None can ignore your presence
What would Pandora say
When you sing that way?
Higher you fly
Distances
Many
Won't

Instruct us to use our heart compass
Open our eyes to perspective
Show us potential to live
When self-doubt is about
Like a grain of sand
May our cares be
Found without
A need
For

The liberty of our latitude
Is the length of our attitude
The way the wind blows effects
The direction we go
Our choices to be
Curiously
Ebb and flow
Waving
Lo

Behold a new dawn of bright feather
Consider the stormy weather
Notice how cloud and sun
Witness the Mother
Nature at play
Survey to
Coastal
Bay

May we find our way as you have shown
Limitless unbounded and flown
So shallow is the worry
No longer a fury
A calming has come
Soaring above
With truth in
Our hearts
Won

Riding the currents of emotions
Soaring aloft mental oceans
Wings spanned in physical worlds
Discover us great pearls
Of wisdom and poise
Joyful in noise
Good solid
Gifts of
Sage

Cleansing our spirits of past trifles
Being careful not to stifle
New growth with every gust gained
A quill, a crest, a quest
A mountain peaked with
Knowledge like the
Pier we are
Destined
To

A gate to become the best versions
Of our outstanding self-landing
Into the stars we have been
The fringe dust of pinion
Divine with the wind
Beginning free
And renewed
With no
End

Summon us the rain yet
With the drums that we recall I
Am the corresponding return
Beautiful lunar and thunder to
A rhythm where all seasons of the
Different viewpoints even ugly in the winter
Are holding up the Universal land
An outer space pond having
Baptized resurrection of acceptance in a chosen
Life-cycle that changes all of the
Symbols through your travels which are heavy.
Changes also equal to soul art
Echo countless metaphors of the
Mindless croaking bond.
Teach in us the thanksgiving of
Heaven's harvest and every single thing
That brings a drunkenness and promise of
Choristers with hymns on stone
For a prolonged life is in and of
What solid reawakening has fortuned deep within upon this earth.
Renewed as well returned I
Carry lucky charms and find that I am
Known in other words bound
With the Spirit to
An ancient stand
That is encountering such places found under
Forces much much before the
Egg existed in a frozen
Past lone part of all creation much much before the thorn
Grew from the rose bush you were jumping by
Far down the brook of evolution where the
Message that you ribbit warm or cold
Is soon discovered befriending those of heart and hearth
As we all listen to your lessons and
The magic song revival that you sing
Poetic form | Golden Shovel |A golden shovel poem consists of taking a line (or lines) from a poem you admire. Using each word in the line (or lines) as an end word in your poem as you keep the end words all in order. Giving credit to the poet who originally wrote the line (or lines), the new poem does not have to be about the same subject as the poem that offers the end words. If you read the last word of every line you will read the line that I chose from Ursula K. Le Guin's 'A Lament for Rheged'.

You stole the fire from the sun
Your winged manifest expressed
Brings purity to darkenedness

You bring with you a light loved one
To shine on earth in loveliness
You stole the fire from the sun
Your winged manifest expressed

Your feathers fork-like have become
You soar with ease and happiness
To free us from our loneliness
You stole the fire from the sun
Your winged manifest expressed
Brings purity to darkenedness

A swallow nesting on our home
Will teach us to be swiftly heard
By using wisdom with our words

In gracefulness you deeply roam
With eyes of every Angel bird
A swallow nesting on our home
Will teach us to be swiftly heard

To rise above is to be shown
That life can often be absurd
And if emotions should be stirred
A swallow nesting on our home
Will teach us to be swiftly heard
By using wisdom with our words

To be objective is the key
Perspective must not be mundane
The spirit cannot be constrained

Distance will help you see clearly
The answers that will soon explain
To be objective is the key
Perspective must not be mundane

Create a loving energy
That's easy for you to maintain
And you will reach a higher plane
To be objective is the key
Perspective must not be mundane
The spirit cannot be constrained

With knowledge of divinity
Guide us dear Swallow as we grow
Enlighten us to what we know

As days pass by forgetfully
We misplace insights we behold
With knowledge of divinity
Guide us dear Swallow as we grow

The song you sing of trinity
With holy magic you bestow
All Saints and Gurus overflow
With knowledge of divinity
Guide us dear Swallow as we grow
Enlighten us to what we know

Invisible leaf that resides among one billion
Reminding us at will to stand still
The constant battle that our lifetimes can create
Aren't always open to agree or negotiate
Much like your nymphs we are like children
Crying in obstinance "Deliver us from evil!" with your grace

Teach us to draw upon our powers
Guide us to step down from our towers
Open up our ignorance to unlimited dimensions
Of consciousness and gentle contemplation
As we align our will with God
Spirit Mantis instruct our inner faith

Enabling our prophecy of strength and ancient peace
Bringing forth the song that sings and dreams
Of loving life force in between us, every soul
Survival's toll is not just individual
Calm as can be to walk on water and to believe
That every son and every daughter has a place

Look into the eyes of praying mantis
Observe the way her clever stance is
Like a meditation pose and prayer-like dance
He is our guide to quietly reside inside
The home our heart protectively shares and confides
A safety zone, a loving tone, and glowing space

As I kneel, as we pose, as we pray for all of those
Who cannot hear or see the beauty you bestow
Spirit guide us, please un-divide us
Show us your tranquil meditative flow
And in this may we hear what we behold
Will allow comfort to become the world we know

In the dance of joy
Shape shifting transformation
Symbol of the soul
Your wings shape our tradition
Tasting of flowers as you walk on them
We too can taste the flower of our consciousness

Your rhythm is like a hymn
Upon our hearts you land within
Color and joy vibrating through
Lightening up our spirit bright
Smoothing and soothing us to shine
Splendidly

Your grace and airy being
An emblem of pure beauty
Two butterflies a mirror
To twin spirit fires
Wandering essences of life
Potentiality of breathing as seeing is unto believing

Rising from the grave of our disappointment
Learning how to coexist with ourselves
To become the immortal gardeners
Of the raised boxes we have built
Inside our curious self contained
Wishes for longer, better breaths to understand

Metamorphism is logical
Favorable waters can both bring
The birth of new beginnings
And a dampness to our wings
Dewdrops drip down eminently
With knowledge capable to wet our minds chrysalis

To become blessed and also blessing
Our last breath here is your ascension
To become the valor of life that we most strive
Before our last exhale in dying
Flickering illumination flame
Oscillating omnipresent wings colored just the same

The sun has seen your face
In the mirror of the ocean
Looking back it smiles with grace
To know to look like you fulfills
A solar fire and daily light
In every morning's resurrection

Replacement to our hand
Emblem to human life by five fingers
Center and core to Mother Earth
You demonstrate our dream rebirth
The compass to a land from childhood
Traveled to grown woman and to grown man

Our cycle of life displayed
Between the two of us heart shaped
Not to confine or to be caged
We slip through cracks and bars and blades
Reincarnation glowing surpassed
Living as now would have us stand

Though moments carry out as wrong
Your transformation is a song
Picking ourselves back up again
As life conspires to the end
Our inclination to defend
We learn to access skills of intuition

No sugar coated affirmations
Just the beautiful truth as it is
When we can barely rise for air
Remembering our Universe is abundant and aware
Recalling everything we love with openness
Fluttering above what overwhelms a mess in us

Spirit Butterfly beside you ride
Fly with us, love us, teach us with guidance
Peaceful resolution as we transmigrate
Healing takes place here with me
Your loving wisdom always reminding
The choices that we make can be creating loving space

Unfolding in new ways
Willing to let go of situations that will drain
To flourish and to grow we cannot waste or simply remain
Kindness in life will help sustain
Divine connection is always on
Opening new doors with which limitlessly we
Belong

Day 1
Laying on my stoop
Wings fully spanned
Gray and Brown flecked fur
So still
Do bats bask?
In the morning it is gone
Carried off I assume
Nature has it's way

Day 2
It is back
The bat
In the same spot on my stoop
Wings pulled in it's breathing so fast
It's French Bulldog face sits up to take me in
I don't want it to suffer
Up it springs
Flapping it's wings hovering inches from my face
Eye contact before it flys away

Day 3
He doesn't visit everyone
You must respect the bat
Changes will be made

Spirit Dolphin

To be in tune in natures light
To be in touch and resonate
Intelligent communicate
Heartbeats of love and breath of life

Superior to human sight
Your sound waves and reverberates
To be in tune in natures light
To be in touch and resonate

You touch the stars and elevate
Our spirits to become alight
Giving us freedom to ignite
Centers begin to emanate
To be in tune in natures light

Beneath the sun, beneath the moon
You teach us how to breathe with care
Oceanic friend, solar flare
Communicating our monsoon

Teaching in us how to commune
Opening our minds to beware
Beneath the sun, beneath the moon
You teach us how to breathe with care

Your innocence rests like lagoon
On the surface emotions bare
Vulnerability is there
Beneath the sun, beneath the moon

A good omen to protect us
Saving the lives of so many
Selfless creature giving plenty
From outer space some do discuss

To touch you frees us from raucous
To ride with you fulfills empty
A good omen to protect us
Saving the lives of so many

With you we find our playfulness
Self-confidence more than any
Never to lose our assembly
Connect us all with inner trust
A good omen to protect us

Helping others finding our truth
To be One Universally
What might seem strange is certainly
A reflection upon our youth

Make bright our eyes with wisdom's root
Free from shame inadvertently
Helping others finding our truth
To be One Universally

Though we may taste forbidden fruit
What we will learn so artfully
Forgives our aches so perfectly
Flipping through curious pursuit
Helping others finding our truth

Michael Amery May 2014
My words are not my own,

Nor do they belong to my totem frog
Which hippity hops
His way trough my life,
Guiding me towards a metamorphosis,
From drunkard
To enlightened.
He (I) sure am taking his time,
But should/could this journey be rushed?

My poems are not the caw of the crow and/or raven,
She does not sing a song so beautiful that I am moved to purge it least it take up too much of the spare space I have inside of me.
She is my spirit guide,
Turn this way, choose that one (with the pretty smile which makes you ever so nervous),
Do not wear that ridiculous outfit,
Don't even think of-
Too late, now live with the repercussions, idiot.
A ****** of voices.

My muse tickles my lust and embraces my love
But is neither.
She/he dons many faces none of which I have ever seen.
Whimsical *****, ******* of emotional release
I do not know you!
I write your words as they come into my head.
Or I would,
If I could keep up with your maniacal laughter;
You spew nonsense rapid fire, child slaying zombies with Cheetos stained fingers,
And with all the elegance therein.
Yet,

I am thankful indeed.
