We do not know each other,
you beautiful viewer.
You read my words and I read yours,
here you are.
You and I,
sharing intimacy over this poem.

I hope my words caress your heart,
your day,
your soul.
Take them in any way you wish,
romantically,
sensually,
friendly,
parentally,
hopefully,
any way that floats your boat.

I want you to smile,
and tear up.
Feel my words wrap around you like a hug,
you beautiful stranger.

I love that we have this,
this time and space,
so intimate.

I love you,
stranger.
I love when people read my poetry, and you deserve the best.
Send me comments, and conversational messages.
I'd love to know you.

To those of you who know me,
You know me not at all.
To those of you who don't:
These are my beacons in the fog.
These words have been my anchor.
They've been there to break my falls.
I've illustrated my escapes
From within these empty walls.
On these pages are the prices
That I've paid for life's surprises.
I've lain waste to pens revising,
Re-copying, refining.

Not all of it is exciting,
Nor sad, or uninviting,
But I gain pleasure from these words,
And from the simple act of writing.

And so for this I'm pleading,
And maybe even needing:
Take pleasure from these words,
And the simple act of reading.

when i say i love you
i mean thank you
thank you for loving me
even knowing my past
thank you for treating me
like i never knew i deserved
and thank you for being with me
for i know it's not easy

i must've been homeless for quite some time
because now in your arms i feel like home
because when she gave me a cardboard box
that i gratefully took in as i needed the shelter
you've given me a castle
and have made me feel like a **** queen
how could i even begin
to thank you

I cut you,
You do not bleed.
I push you,
You do not fall.
I scream,
You do not flinch.

You stand by my side,
The strongest person I know.

Thank you x

I'll never forget
The way you smelt
Like sweet epiphanies
Or lillac breezes

Each carried
A different note

Thank you
For all
Your seasons

DEAR SUN,
Your rays entwine with my heart
giving me energy to send rays of love
to the many I meet. Thank You.

DEAR VOICE,
You carry power with words,
to speak truths,
songs to sing, and even screams to cry.
You supply a mouth piece
for light beings
to speak.
Thank You.

DEAR SECOND,
You are like a grain of sand
almost invisible but
as you join with others you build
and I learn from your example.
Thank You.

DEAR BREATH,
You caress my lungs
touching every ***** to aid self.
Without you I would not exist.
Thank You.

DEAR GREAT, GREAT, GREAT GRANDPARENTS,
Though your faces are visible only in photos,
and your forms long gone,
I honor your lives and riches Of your values
woven into my very nature.
Thank You.

DEAR LANGUAGE
You, the written word
fuels my passion as poet,
allowing me to spread wings
inside poetry
Thank You.
