Sand's pouring down gracefully.
Running fast on roads.
Time has life,
And
Life has time.
Road's on fast running,
Gracefully down pouring sands.
First palindrome style attempt but with a twist. A 7-5-3-1-3-5-7 syllable count on each line.

This is my first palindromic poem. It's about my trip from Southwest Florida to Columbia, South Carolina to be in the line of totality for the solar eclipse of 2017.

A palindrome can be read backwards and forwards from center.
Enjoy!
David Cordell Jan 2016
destruction topples creation
as close bonds split,
alliances rekindle desperations,
individual greeds dismantle agreements,
darkness defeats lightness,
boundless shackles frees death, ending life
life, ending death, frees shackles, boundless
lightness defeats darkness,
agreements dismantle greeds, individual
desperations rekindle alliances,
split bonds close as
creation topples destruction.
This is a palindrome poem. Read the same forwards and backwards; meeting in the middle, the same words are used but differ in meaning.

Always
Time heal(s) wounds
And
“love is sometimes painful”
Friends tell friends.
Do they truly know?
She is fading as ever seamlessly
And
Cold nights home alone—
Darkness silences, reoccurring nightly
Why is that,
Nightly reoccurring silences darkness? –
Alone home, nights cold and
Seamlessly ever as fading is she.
Know? Truly, they do?
Friends tell friends
“Painful sometimes is love”
Wound(s) heal time
Always.
My very first palindrome. Not the best and I plan to add more and edit as time goes on.
