We are in a century
Where a new phone line
Will mean a new life
Distance of love
Is only taught
To be covered by a dial
so we see no pain
When we quit relationships
For a donkey’s walk
As the ancient had it
Is nothing but a phone dial
How chameleonic is it
©️Kuvar
I have seen people give up on themselves by the easiest recommendation of technology on social platforms just a block or an unfriend., as far as having a new phone line... life as we have it today is chameleoniC

Trust me, dear! I know it all... though I don't mean to brag...
No need to write, no need to call... I've got this in the bag...
Just take my word, trust what I tell... I've checked the facts and stuff...
I'm here to stay, won't say farewell... I'm here to bring the love...

I've got the good news and the bad... I've got news in-between...
So pick and choose, till you're real glad... at things you've heard and seen...
Investigations come and go... and interviews likewise
And pretty soon, you're in the know... more than you realise...

Trust me, dear! I know it all... reporters everywhere...
To watch the famous rise or fall... for fans who truly care...
Just quote the news so others learn... that way, they'll thank you, too...
Evaluate, discuss, discern... just like most folks would do...

So stick real close... by night and day... I'll keep you up-to-date...
God knows there's more news on its way... so not too long to wait...

Judgmental eyes
And septic tones
The Illiterate views
Of a mindless clone

Their brain sparks
At headline news
They follow the herd
Missing the clues

Making assumptions
Lacking the facts
Finding their prey
To launch an attack

They stir up hatred
And dish out blame
Keyboard warriors
Resilient to shame

Provoking responses
Encouraging hate
Feeding on trauma
Served on a plate

Selling papers
Creating division
Spreading their lies
To fund their addiction

I keep well abreast of the news.
It's hard not to. Can't quite turn it off.
I'm not sure I would.
It's everywhere.
So many sources bring it to me.
I bear up.
I write about it... constantly.
It's painfully intriguing.
I rubber neck like a bobble head
At all our goings on.
And I'm selfish.
I want things to work out
Without my money.
I'll give away all my prayers.
I've been offered money for my vote.
Keep your cash.
I don't trust the YMCA. or the Credit Union.
Too many pick-pockets.
They'd sell children at half price for a gallon.
The homeless already have the prime real estate
When the money runs out.
But it's not about money.
And by then, it won't matter.
who do we believe
when it comes to news delivery
are any of the reports
credible in their livery

a fake story can
promulgate far and wide
there's a question mark
along for the ride

reading between the lines
is a definite must
that's where we'll find
something to trust

media organizations
peddle much disinformation
which invariably requires
an expert's confirmation

false copy in the daily
cycle of press release
these misleading volumes
never seem to cease

inaccurate news is blurring
the picture we see
by not displaying an authentic
perspective's tee

I became relevant
Everyone is watching me now
But This wasn't the attention i wanted
Seems like everyone was getting their blessing
But i continued to stay haunted
Maybe this was my spotlight
For them to see my life declining
This was the peak in my journey
I called it perfect timing
In the midst of avoiding depression
And escaping my anxiety
That whole entire time i had something growing inside of me.
"Extra extra! I have cancer read all about it"
A poem i wrote a while back about me finding out i had cancer.
heated blanket wonderland
bath bomb heaven
fruits and veggies all the time
go to sleep at seven

vitamins on the counter
decaf in the cabinet
yoga mat across the floor
gotta start new habits

research by day
snoring all night
gotta get this figured out
before you are in sight!
