For the seeds were woven yet nothing grew,
                                  that which watched above

sewing the earth with salty tears,
for he had asked for the
first woman to seed..

                             And the father
said No.......

You shall not seed fields that aren't  yours.

She is no Mary,
you will not be an illegitimate
father to my child woven in the
             cloth of forsaken love.

They were a unity of forever.
   Your just a passing thought
to the illegitimate
consequences of fate.

And look where that got you....

There are no fields to sew,
   for your fruit is inedible

            to the palette of humanity....

The nature of you fruit is woeful,
         and your nourishment is

toxic to the substance of our fruition.

spread the word
we, who you shall never see
have landed on your grieving
and poorly sculpted land
we, who you shall always seek
have taken our mighty tools with us
a humankind worth

to patch up the bursted leaks
from the excess bloods
that you have spilled for us
to stomp down the shielding walls
that you have built for us
against all those infidels

no more impotent convictions
you may ring the bells
now that we are here
the indomitable truth shall be proclaimed

for every single cell
of you chapped skins
will bow down, knee-deep
among the carcasses of the self-appointed saints
and deeper and deeper

until you hear the wind of desolation
rampaging over our seas
and your ridding threnodies
in the hallways of the earth
“i will make you immortal,“ he says as his lips touch your skin, leaving trails of ash behind. you do not think of his words.

"i will make you immortal” he coaxes into your ear as he beckons you closer, the wax dripping from your wings and burn your skin as he reaches out to kiss you. it’s not enough.

"i will make you immortal” he whispers as he watches you fall, feathers fluttering around you, looking too divine in the midst of your fall. he couldn’t look away.

"i will make you immortal” he cried out as he watches the saltwater sea swallow up your golden touched, sunburnt body.

“i will make you immortal” he vows as you fade into a story about boys who fall in love with suns meant for the sea.

3:33 am.
Paved those scars to scale
Some ran away scared
Swallowed by fear they fled
Seeking for greener zones they fed

You stood by me still
Even when sick and ill
Your warmth made me well
You're greenery than 'em all

You sheltered me from scorching
Sun that sent grasses dying
Yet with you I'm still living
Leaping like a deer in glows

Take all the glory and honor
Lord my one-in-all
Mystic apt hue indeed
You're worth-loving.

No gods, no fate,
not even yielding to chance
To live this one life
in full acceptance:

This will only happen once!

A stubborn strength
born of a conviction
That there is no soul
in need of absolution

That life is not made meaningful
by abstract metaphysical contortions
in favor of a jealous,
angry, cruel
deity
Purportedly in love with creation

Such is the choice of the humanist
in staunch opposition
to the zealot, the spiritualist
To stand on one's own feet
Acknowledging the grand mystery
Not willing to submit.

Paris came back to troy
And saw Hector on the shore.
He told him he had found his love
But what he found was war.

Persephone runs amok, her hair caught on tendrils of wind,
eyes lucid as emeralds; aware, alive.
Hope is sketched on her face as if drawn by whoever paints the sunset,
pulsating with the reflection of neon cities, rolling countryside,
the adrenaline-pumping moment before a rollercoaster’s descent.
She is high on happiness, running across her plane of existence
with only her converse sneakers and extraordinary ambitions.

Persephone knows she owes her unbridled youthfulness to Demeter.
Demeter, who is stern but unconditionally loving,
selfless, for when she hears her daughter’s plea for food she stops
her spoon midway through a bite.
When Persephone struggles with the perpetual torture of arithmetics,
Demeter’s sheer intelligence is astonishing, the iridescent reflection of
Persephone’s aspirations, for a problem to Demeter is merely
a hidden solution, a failure only a victory in waiting.

If only Demeter knew how her words are of the highest value,
her pleased smile the only affirmation to a job well done.
Her love cradled in the nook of Persephone memories,
every moment she is infinitely grateful to co-exist,
grateful for the Universe to award her the simple pleasure
of loving her parent with purity and stripped of conditions.

As Persephone runs, she glances back for a mere second,
in her smile is the mirror of her naivety,
she still believes that her Gods will save her from being a slave to
the inevitable corruption on Earth and Olympus,
for she is sure her untarnishable love for Demeter is her protector.

Yet, you know how the story goes.
In an instant, Persephone is falling into the Underworld, on the back of a beautiful monster into inescapable darkness.
But even then, she holds on to Demeter in thought and in prayer.
After adulthood, marriage, queenship, a childhood gone in a flash,
after her hands become worn with calluses, her face a series of rivers,
her mind expansive, her goals reached, Persephone knows she owes her unbridled youthfulness to the first person she ever loved.
