President Donald Trump..

So?

Am I wrong now?!

This is the
Caucasian ******* Vote.
It is irony
It is the opposite
of what you want to see
...it is a white denial of reality.
It is sad, to see something die...unnecessarily
This election day
Determines who's president
Please don't elect Trump
omfg im really disappointed in america right now. trump has 140 electoral votes while hillary only has 104. really?! why the **** do people want some racist, sexist, homophobic pig who will ruin the country!? why are people so stupid!? did they not learn from what happened with england and brexit!? hes an idiot! he said global warming is fake! and he believes in conversion therapy and pro life! hillary better win

I voted today
For a child
For the lesser evil
For the better side of the devil
He laughs
She laughs
***** hands shake one another
Abuse each other
Bruise America

The back and forth
The teasing and harassing
The lies and the blaming
I voted for a child today
I'm not happy about it
Are you happy about it?
She's surly shy with her lines
the curtains fell on her face
when adept only flash of evanescence
with a bite in capital and shoal disport her dress
in polls today hop with her as such a surprise wink at her frill that land upon shoes and ruefully construe her entirely with her malice fore bash in bistro extradite uproarious faith that fully entice her orthodoxy and succeed with premier.

I voted
But why does it feel empty?
Why does it feel nothing has changed?
Because it hasn't
It won't as long as I rely on that ballot

A ballot choice to be my voice?
To do the change I want to see in the world?
No way will I let that be the case
If I want change, I will give chase
I will not entrust change to anyone but myself
And my friends who have my back
Of course there are some things that I lack
But I won't let that stop me
Neither should you

You have the power to do this
But of course, that equals work
And you would rather just sit
To watch that TV and complain
While your choice doesn't do their part
So you take aim
You want change?
Stand up and get that change you preach about

With T.E Lawrence and his quote,
"All men dream, but not equally
Those that dream by night
In the ***** recesses of their minds
Awake in the day to find it was vanity
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men
For they may act out their dreams with
Open eyes to make it possible
This I will do.

With love in my heart
And the well-being of every human
On my mind

Now I know you have heard this before
And I ain't a saint
I've done my share of sitting and hate
But sure enough, it ain't too late
Love all for who they are
Because love will always get you far

Don't let your choice be your voice
You want change, go get it, period
If you're that serious

I voted
But that ain't going to change a thing
As long as this cycle continues to sing.

There's one way to warm hearts
On the day of an election:
Stickers with sarcastic remarks
Paired with cute confections
Oscar Mann Nov 2016
I didn’t vote, because I didn’t care
And it didn’t matter anyway
A pawn I was, a silly ant
My vote was mine to throw away

And thus ended election day
With the grave result for all to see
By throwing away my precious vote
I too instigated the second-rate democracy

Now it is finally the moment I truth
As citizens enter the voting booth
In response, I'd just like to quote a comic based on this election here:
"Vote like youyou'll have to explain yourself in twenty years"
Denel Kessler Nov 2016
The lost congregate
a lodestone of despair
draws them together
all that could be said
to make things better
sleek shallow lies
dry crumbling mortar
howling chaos beckons
beyond walls of order
at the unhinged door
a legion of wolves
refusing to be tamed
snarling and ripping
at what little remains
Francie Lynch Nov 2016
The eagles may pass the snowbirds,
In the air, on the land and sea;
Like the flight of the featherless Wild Geese
In a similar century.

The coops are open,
The hawk is swooping,
Talons sharp and spread;
Eyes laser fixed, and firey red.
They're locked
On preening pigeons,
Perched near the magic box.
