Her aurora voice, her sunlight soul;
like rays, she walks on different colours and breaks into million dancing pieces.

Her scent of light, her cherry blossom lips,
ivy in her veins, lilies on her skin
and a lotus blooming in her heart;
for a petal she drifts.

Luminous, she shines against all light.
Is she a friend, a lover or a stranger?
She only greets my soul by breathing.
She’ll release me, she’ll save me!

You are the cherry blossom
And I am the land
Each time that you fall
I'll catch you with my hand
I'll always be there for the one I love
And I'll catch her whenever she fall
She's given to me by God from above
Her love i will forever hold

Your kisses felt as soft as the cherry blossoms,
as sweet as the smell of the grass and the woods,
as warm as the sunshine in April,
Yes, I truly love you and the beauty of spring!
~I miss you!

A quick change of weather brought me to stare outside the window
Standing near the porch, I was then surprised to see snow falling
Almost a month when cherry blossoms began to say hello
Here comes a chilling wind and a surprise snowfall in spring
Hearing its sound, a thread of sad memories began to flow
This pushed me back to the hour of pain, strain,  and self-blaming
Worried about the blossoms and  pretty wild flowers in the meadow,
I looked around and saw green grass and birds happily chirping
Oh! the woods smell sweet, snow becomes rains and the little stream flows
And everywhere I turn around, I see hope in everything
Plus who among us would not care, cherish and will not go
To admire a lovely tree where blossoms are hung with snow in spring
~A snowy day in spring!

Pink flow’rs, blushing cheeks
A soft kiss to say goodbye
                            Just one perfect dance

She stood there naked almost all throughout the year
Enslaved by the chilling winds, captured by the gloom of winter
Though she never got tired of waiting for the sun to rouse from a lengthy sleep
Reaching up the clouds, she raised her tiny brittle arms and began to weep

I was a witness to her silent suppressed feeling and pain
But I was scared to show her that I also wallow in vain
Then I saw her yesterday with the warm breeze caressing her blushing cheeks
I just wished she felt my joy, the freedom from the frigid knot is indeed to celebrate

Her beauty now flourishes in her pink and silky gown
Her smile glitters and she glows like a princess with a gorgeous crimson crown
Again I am a witness to her glorious happiness and content
Though nervous of the ceremony that might soon begin to fade
Wellspring Sep 2018
The softest blanket covering the world under its branches,
Baby pinks, creams and sensitive whites.
The tiny petals resting gently on the heavy and moist soil.
The earthy scent of dirt and fertility,
Wafting up from the ground beneath.
The gentle breeze, giggling with mischief,
Sweeping through the blackened old arms of the ancients,
Swaying slowly in time with the bell like laughter of the wind.
I love cherry blossom trees!
There we sit beneath the cherry blossom tree,
You were there, talking to me.
The silence, hearing the trees whispering.
We were spending all afternoon laughing.
I just wonder and I wanted to ask,
“Would I belong to you soon?”
“Would I ever have you?”
I wanted you to know and hear.
My heart brings off with no fear.
I wanted the way we used to be changed,
Not like how we are right now.
I wanted something  more if you allow.
Talk to my eyes, do you want it too?
The voices, I heard them in my head.
Talking to myself, forgetting the road ahead.
Every way I take, it leads me back to you.
Your smiles and the way you move are my sunshine.
Being with you makes me feel better than fine.
I forgot how the rain used to cover me.
I was never meant to leave you recklessly.
Until one day, I heard through the grapevines.
I was looking and hoping for a sign.
Fright drove my heartbeat swifter than the time I trusted you.
Why was I not given a cue?
Was I asleep when you told me?
Was I wishing you dreamingly?
Was I looking forward to the future
Of you caring and embracing me back?
You loved someone you believed,
You said she is undeniably stunning...
But, you did not have a chance to know her.
I had the time of loving you, it felt great.
I wondered, “Why did you refuse?”
Still, it was just right to forget right away.
Someday, the colours would slowly fade
Into a beautiful shade of gray.
The wretchedness would be an enduring mark...
To rather let the mark be the end of the world...
Or to look up to the shining sun and restart?
Someday, I would learn to love someone better.
Someday, I would be laughing at myself and say,
“What was the real reason why I loved you?”
Cause all I can think of was your foolishness.
I could have been dumb when I had you.
I used to laugh to our one-liners before.
We were just young naive kids.
(Now, I learned.....)
I was better off giggling with myself.
I was better off being with my friends.
I used to remember that tree,
It was where we used to sit.
Do you remember it too?
I know you had forgotten.
If you ever regret, do not return.
‘Cause you might be hanging your head the next time.
But you had been right, always right.
“Let go of the beautiful memory
When we used to sit beneath the cherry blossom tree.”
This poem was inspired by my friend Maureen Chua. She loves anime so much and that is actually how I really know her as my best friend. Since she always supports me in every way, I wanted to post this poem I made for her.
Well, it was this scene in anime when we see the main characters near the cherry blossom trees. They are just beautiful, aren't they? If you're an otaku, I really bet you can picture a lot of anime characters right now.... Seeing how romantic or sad scenes are.
Cherry blossom tress can make so much memories that I can make a story about it.

Pink blossoms
drooping downwards
like gowns at a grand ball.

Dew clinging to their petals
and hanging like gems,
glimmering in the morning light.
an: on another note, the blueberry-lemon scones at starbucks aren't as great as I thought they'd be.
