Oh come hither to me
My sweetest honey roasted peanut lips
Your almonds I will nibble
You won't be able now to sleep
Let me crack your  perfect pecans
I will walnut you away
I will **** away your cashews
Lick all the salt away
I will ****** all your Brazil nuts
They are most precious I must say .
Yes I have gone completely nutty
What more could I say .
Careta era o cavalo
A quem o sal dado
Em mim sangrava.

Tinka, um dos 2 cachorros –
Meu predileto era o Leão.
Brigavam como cães e gatos.

I Think era como o chamava -
ao primeiro dos cães
o americano missionário.

Shibiu, ou será Chibiu?
– era o cachorro de dona Modesta
Nossa mãe adotada: sempre atenta
A que nenhum bicho nos agarrasse.

Lembro-me também do Bito
Aquele disgramado, culpado duas
Vezes por esta cicatriz que trago
No meio das costelas e no fardo
Pessoal que carregamos vida afora.

Bito não era bode expiatório
– mas cabrito imolado tampouco.
Acho que era o diabo tocando viola.

Eu alimentava os porcos
Sem expulsar ninguém

Fluff and puff,
water plugs,
power plants,
paper over eyesores,
paint it matte,
pink as salmon,
pack the homeless
into the Bird's Nest,
ghettoise Moses,
bleed the Amazon
down to size,
moor the battleships
to Yamuna Bank,
let white elephants
run riot on warm Black ice
over those who won't
play ball in our
electric garden
free your head
from the rails
for what?
roti kapda makaan
or BSP ki maya?
be buried or a sport
let laal battis through
ab bus, stop
blaming it on Rio
don't you know
how India shone
in October 2010,
or that Russians love
their children too?
So what if they don't
believe in modern love?
Potemkin villages are
built brick by brick
by BRICS,
Red, Yellow, Orange
kilned to Black.
Eventiasis. Eventism. What's in a name? The fact is, these major sporting events are bleeding the developing countries dry while killing the world in the bargain.

Skirts and dresses,
Men in suits,
Shirts with palm trees,
I love palm trees,
Everywhere I go its filled with life,
And its the life for me,
But I don't want to just simply be another centipede,
I mean the party line,
I want something else in mind,
I come here not just for the festivities,
But a fracture of time,
Not for the pretty Brazilian girls,
Shaking their skirts around,
Something about the beat and the drums,
That get me so aroused,

Man! Is this how it goes down at 12:30.
Quick note I love brazil

I woke up feeling brilliant
My country is embarrassing
I don't wanna speak portuguese
I wanna paint my body
And throw myself into things

The white walls of the museums
I had never visited
Invite me to show my useless
And pointless opinions

I feel like capturing the colors
Capturing tones and movements
Look inside my eyes and tell me
Something I haven't felt yet
I don't feel and that's just embarrassing

It grips me everytime
Everytime I see them play
22 of them, on the field
Running, tripping, sweating
They move, they pass, they jump
They fall, they stand, they hook
And suddenly it's clear to me
Its not just bout scores and stats and stuff
Its about a flawless play
Its not a matter of two opponents
Its played by several thousands
Laughing, cheering, grieving, praying
You won't see anywhere else
Love so pure, colours so bright
Its grips my everything
Everytime I see them play
My beautiful game

Today it starts,
A game of two halves.
Shame no one told us.

They will play,
We will watch
With one eye half shut

They will talk,
Another good game.
But fail like 1970,
To claim a prize,
We think of our own.

I was two the only time,
We raised a trophy,
That my father saw,
Being held aloft in ’66.

We claim our three lions roar,
Only they whimper out of tournaments,
With nothing, but a story of penalties,
And another cross bar denying.

So I say what will be different,
This four year cycle?
I know that the pain will be the same,
Angry words chanted, and dreams shattered

But then there is always
A spark of hope…

Or the next time.

I shot up in 70's/ 80's England
For sale, there really was only one dream
It was sold to us through Thatcher
Star wars, Magnum P.I. and The A.team.

Now that dream is old and dusty
And the world looks for something new
Will it come from India, China, Brazil
Or will it come from the shaky E.U.

Or will, as I hope, there be choice
For my daughter and her 4 year old clique
Will she choose the American dream
Or will she dismiss it as a kitsch antique.
