My life is a dream,
so when I dream
it's a dream within a dream.

I see my angel
soft feathered wings
and a bright white smile.

I like to imagine
that its the face of God
visiting me in my only solace.

But each night, when I smile back
the dream shatters
and I waken to my living nightmare.

On my nightly stroll
I glance up at the moon
Shining like a white hot coal.
Reflecting lake, I see the sky-
Above, below, and all around.
Growing up, I felt a strange connection to the moon. I loved night walks. this poem was written to remind me of those nights.

Sweet grandma
Brush my hair
Sing me a lullaby
To put me fast asleep.

Sweet grandma
Feed me
Clothe me
Keep me warm and content.

Sweet grandma
Take me places
Buy me souvenirs
Show me the world.

Sweet grandma
Show me love
Show me peace;
Show me you.

Sweet grandma
Show me-
Show me your love
For that is all I really need.
To those who love their grandma. My grandma was my caretaker when I was between the ages of 6-10.

water laps
at my feet,
gentle tides
ever rolling.
this place is my solace, my lullaby.
i come here by day
or even night.
when i am away
my mind is a jumble.
when i am here
things awry, become right.
i love it here
for a million reasons.
the water laps
at my feet.
gentle tides
rolling in,
and i am at peace
once again.

My heart is breaking
I thought it had already broken
I thought the damage was done
but my heart feels like an open wound
bleeding, pulsing, and hurting.
The pain continues on,
the confusion and tears blur my sight
my mind is foggy
and I yearn to give up the fight.
My hopes are dying
I've lost my drive
I've lost my light
and there is no end in sight.
For those of you who've suffered or are suffering depression, hang in there.
