Worry* is a scurvy rat
It is a man's main bane
It chews on your self esteem
It nibbles at your brain
It will take your precious time
Your energies will claim
It will hobble your very life
It will make you lame
You may try to capture it
But that is all in vain

Doubt is like a cancer
It eats at your bones
It takes breath from your very lungs
It turns your mind to stone
It makes you feel incomplete
It makes you weep and moan
Under it's all-nagging pain
You will retch and groan
It is resistant to all cures
And you cannot atone

Fear is like a little death
It turns the heart to straw
It strikes like a rattlesnake
With poison in its maw
It's like a fascist dictator
Who makes the harshest laws
It can take your greatest strength
Make it pernicious flaw
Like a sadistic doctor
With a large chainsaw!

How can a person battle
Worry, Doubt and Fear?
How can our lives get better?
How can we have cheer?
Jack Daniels has no answer
It's not Budweiser beer...

It may be elusive
At first just like a wraith
But once you have a hold on it

The answer is our *FAITH.*

Found the beginnings of this poem earlier while I was looking through some boxes (I'm cleaning an old storage area).
It showed promise so I started working on it today.

This cleaning project has been taking up a lot of my time. Hopefully I'll be able to get back on the site over the long weekend.

May you be blessed this Memorial Day!

i raised her
with a violent birth
my vocal cords tangled
like a drunk couple
making love
with her name.

she emerged from
the slit in men's throats,
a grown woman,
her sister followed,
from suffocated coughs,
glowing like streetlamps
from mouth to mouth,
never happy,
never settled.

girls like her,
they don't enter this
world easy,
they leave it in a mess,
exit it like a highway,
move on to the
next place.

there's a stain they
always leave,
yellow on the teeth,
marks on bed-sheets,
empty rings on
bedsides with last
nights drink
gone cold just like
their feelings.

just a girl they say,
harmless,
girls have endless love
in their hearts,
and endless hate.

I only know the songs I love the most,
they can tell what life can be like,
not me, not making a living by living it.

I'll never write lines as good as those,
not saying better what's on my mind
or singing like it's worth it a listening.

Seldom other needs can juxtapose,
by any means I can't say much sometime,
but music finds me telling everything

for me, to me, for their soulful notes
whatsoever chord they could strike
the right ones in time will be moving me
magically...
Music is the most magical and wonderful thing to me ... as much as Poetry when it comes to lyrics, but with the little plus of sounds...
I think my strongest knowledge is about the songs I love... They're my certainties that nobody can take away from me... they are the only ones I know, actually...
Poets, like
madmen and prophets,
are banned from
the Kingdom of Reason,
as they are
the progeny of the sun
(the sun who illumines as he blinds)
and the siblings
of the rays
who never tire
of beating
the world into
magnificent new shapes
that fascinate us
all – including
Unwavering Moon whose
lonesome secret is to be
madly in love
with the rainbow.

Once upon a legend
On a day that time forgot
I felt my heart cease beating
And I knew the world had stopped

No wind stirred in the treetops
No more sweet flowers growing
No waves upon the oceans
The rivers were not flowing

The moon lost in the heavens
No place for her to go
Forever left in darkness
No light for the world below

Dawn is never coming here
No new day is being born
The sun will not be rising
Night will not turn into morn

Caught in a painful silence
All earthly life is stilled
The source of this disaster
Is a promise unfulfilled

The promise that you made me
The cruel game you played
The dark truth echoes bleakly
In the heart that you betrayed
