If I  were to not talk to you again,
Would you notice?

If I were to just dissappear,
Would you look for me?

If I were to die tonight,
Would you mourn me?

if I were*.....
         would you?

No one knows what it's like
To live as a ****
we have Hobbies,
Relationships
And we give Our kids hugs.

No one knows what it's like
To be Black all the time
For everyone to lock doors around you,
In fear of imminent crime.

No one know what's it like
To be Me
My problem are through the roof.
I take my anger out
Through poetry.

No one knows what it's like
To be Someone Else
I'm grateful to be here
Happy,
Alive,
And hopefully in good health.

If we all placed our problems on a table,
We'd take ours back.
That's a line I learned from a White gentleman,
Who looked at me for more than being Black.

Appreciate Everyone
A poem in appreciation of my mentor
Dying love in a gilded cage,
Imprisoned by my pent up rage.
You never loved me, but neither did I,
The last gift you gave was the gift of goodbye.
You must begin early
while it is cool and your head clear
discernment, a sharpened tine
probing the rocky darkness
for all things latent and destructive.

Be aware that the velvet sage
of the leaves belies their power
to take over every space, remember
roots burrow deep, anchoring in
fissures we don’t even know exist.

You must delve as close
to the origin as possible
or the **** you think eradicated
will bide its time, germinating
in the still secret ground

waiting for light
to penetrate the moist earth
waking the sprout
who voraciously pushes up and out
a curled blemish

in your otherwise carefully tended garden.
~~
The soft chill winds
a cloudy day
ah! what a feeling!
drifting with the streams
how the life instills!

Waves of song coming from the distant
white Storks flying as the fall guy
how the dreams come and go
between you and me
between the land and sea

In the sky rafts of white clouds
crafts the arrival of autumn
assuming the flame of Love
what a beautiful play!
what a fairs of tune!

I may be the one••••••••••

You are ready to carve••••••••••••••••
Ever so recklessly,••••••••••••••••••
In your heart and thoughts•••••••

of your poetry.••••••••
But know that•••••••
These sweet nothings•
you chose to lay,•••••
Right now are•••••••
mere words••••••••••
With the intention•••••••
to sway.••••••••••••••••••
I feel the urge•••••••••••••••
To painfully declare.••••••••••
I feel the need••••••••••••••
To tell you what••••••••••

That I'm not•••••••••••••
