When I was in 4th grade
I wanted to be beautiful
So I put on eye shadow when
My mum couldn't see
In 5th grade, I wanted to be thin
Have long skinny legs
And a flat stomach
And pretty hair
So I curled it
and I straightened it
In 6th grade
I wanted to be popular
and all the popular girls were pretty
So I tried to look like them
So I could meet the new kids
At middle school
In seventh grade
I wanted sleek shiny hair
and a smaller
Nose
and pretty eyes
and
Whiter teeth

And in eighth grade
I wanted to be me

And in ninth grade
I wanted to be free
your body is your home
decorate it as you wish
to fit you and who you are

i know there is things on your home
you dont want me to see
you wear long sleeves in summer
and wear long shorts at the beach

but each time your jumper slips
or your skirt flips up
and your marks are for all to see

just remember that despite every effort
that you make to hide your home
to hurt your home and to
make your home not the prettiest

i will think of it as a mansion
i think of you as a burning star
in the darkest of nights

i see every scar and each time i do
i whisper i love you and to please
stay
stay,

stay.

Dark Jewel
Forever may her wings be,
Upon her back for eternity.

Always may she love,
Soaring upon golden skies.

So beautiful,
As bewildering as it may seem.

She's your guardian Angel,
One only you.
Can see.

I'm thankful for the rain,
For it covers my tears.

I'm thankful that it's cold,
For it excuses my shaking.
Tonight. This was me.
Read my poems,
though read them right.
You can't just read them like
you are reading a book,
And think "this is not that good".
What is this?
These are words from my heart,
Don't underestimate.
The power contained in each word,
Sings a tune,
Read it like that,
Like a song,
that's the way it deserves to be read.
You then might feel what I feel
and appreciate each word
And let them touch your heart,
and truly understand what's being said.
Each word a journey of my hearts content,
Or its losses,
Some possibly written with tears dripping,
On the keyboard,
true emotions,
Deserve respect.
