My heart will not be denied
Soul, body, and mind
I will not be confined
I'll reach for the sky
This, I will live by

Even after I die
I will be immortal
My words have no goodbyes

i don't care about what's really happening
everything clustering in
up and out - puffing, expanding

give me the air that makes me just like Uma Thurman
with grace that's only mastered in a yellow jump suit
dripping with blood and brain matter
a blade between my palms

******* for making me feel worthless
oh and you too - over there - for making me feel like i am everything but
P** owerful
O nslaught of

(Haiku x 5)

This dark shines so bright
Blinding, unacceptable
Eyes hide from its light.

Truths are bad, sad, grim,
Taunting, stinging, destroying,
Slashing-poor heart bleeds.

Pain, shame, we cover,
Heart, shoulders, pulled down lower,
Unbearable...for,

Murmurs are like smoke,
Wind-blown...spreading...absorbed.....but,
Wise minds understand.

So, breathe....part curtains
Sun, wind, shall take charge...believe!
The truth sets us free!

Yes, you out there wherever you may be
You try to steal our souls in poems
We know you, to the tee

What twisted motives to be us, by proxy, what cowardess you be
What an empty vessel posses you, such sadness, such despair
You pick our hard imagined fruit and not from your own tree

You clone our minds, like leaches on our skin
You wish us harm, you thieving ***
You wormy monster, a slug, next to kin

I curse you
I loath you
I hate you
You stealers of our youth
Betrayers of our written souls
What lacks is pride, and owners of the truth

Do I splash
the pool of Narcissus
when I call you nasty names...

...even hog
the grapes of Bacchus
playing friendly bar-room games?

Will I squeeze
the **** of Aphordite
in my tippler's lecherous way?

...And will I challenge
her MIGHTY HERCULES
and find i'm in a fix!!!??

For i'll fear of meeting Charon
upon the under-river Styx!!!

Oh me, oh my, lions and tigers and bears
Oh oh my...
reflects smiles
mirrors pains
its beauty beguiles
entertains

wakes up heart
opens door
transcends art
furthermore

swells in vein
its maddening flow
drops as rain
on parchment glow

once seeded within
grows deep root
makes you come clean
speak only truth

soul's inked beat
pearls dug from deep
in true spirit
have it worshipped.
Poetry is a spirit; they that would worship it must worship in spirit and in truth.

In the end
it pulls
free of
its chain
and settles
inside like
a flame
and my
only concern
is how
long will
it burn
before I
have chained
it again
