I broke a poets heart.
Now I’ll be immortal in their pain.
I’ll be the ink drops on their paper.
Their demons never slain.

I’ll be your seven wonders,
Your Atlantis and your Heaven.
I’ll be simple, I’ll be complicated,
I’ll be whatever label I’m given.

When you said you loved me,
You knew we weren’t meant to be.
You took my heart and claimed it,
But never did you see.

My heart is with another.
My mind, never on you.
It’s simple, black and white.
To my heart I must be true.

The black veil shrouds my vision
I can't see in front of me, I can't see behind
I walk on, purely out of fear for what will happen if I stop
I walk for what seems like an eternity
I panic, wondering if I'll ever escape this void
I scream, hoping someone will hear
I beg to hear another voice
I plead for relief from this torture
I start to consider stopping
I want this to end
I can't carry on like this
Nobody to help me
Nobody to care
Nobody to lift the veil
No reason to continue.

Memories impaled on an endless reality
pierce my empty womb with loss
as cascading tears form the dream of a child
dancing with the gentle breeze
of life.
Constantly reminding my tormented heart
that her sweet innocent face is now
only but a series of deceitful images
alive to shatter my heart.
and that never again, will I be able to
touch the crimson petals integrated
within her soul
created by the essence of  my bleeding love,
watering
a beautiful memory drifting away
into the hands of God.

i grew up being told things that made me feel like a diamond in a pile of gravel, but now i'm laying shattered on my bathroom floor and i didn't think diamonds were supposed to break.

A lake quietly glistens with tears
forming its transcendent pain
into the tender petals
of a budding rose
floating upon
the moon's rippled reflection.

Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere

I stare up at the clouds and wonder what you would see
if you were still looking up with me
I imagine you're looking down now, down at earth, at me
I wonder what your laugh would sound like, grown up
My heart is trying so hard not to break every time I think
of your sweet smile and the rest of my body shakes
The tears don't come any more, not that I was ever one to cry

When night falls
and I see the stars, I look at my wrist and recall how
I had to compose my self enough to tell the artist how
            to spell your name
When night falls
the moon is still enough to light up my arm so that
I can trace the script with my fingertips
When night falls
I can't do anything but quietly whisper *"I'm sorry."

First line is from "Vanilla Twilight" by Owl City.
I haven't heard that song in forever.

The lone white rose lies on the cobbled road,
Tossed aside by unrequited love.
It once stood proud in the field basking in the sun,
Certain it was born to charm and dazzle.
You’re magnificent they said…
A special rose you are, crafted by divine hands.
Its enchanting beauty was a sight to behold,
Even kings waged wars to claim it.
Unbeknownst its grim destiny
To be trampled by its admirers
As they gather around to exalt the new vogue,
The red rose alive with passion
Breeding forbidden thoughts and fantasies.
You’re magnificent they said…
Now you’re forgotten.
