this is the moon's
quiet rose, the unfolding
of the clouds, tranquility
resting her head,
the beautiful sea.

The moon is now bright and full
showering silver romance,
to the leaves of tree so dull.

A cricket humming his chants
deep in meditation behind
the dark unknown shrub's branch.

Somewhere in a nest, a hatchling can't sleep
letting out feeble hunger cries
her mother did not fetch enough to feed.

While on my walk, I see those eyes
hiding behind a trunk, peeping
I assure it safety, I know may be lying

Night is the time for them to be,
struggling to enjoy independence and security
this unending night leading them to the unknown
what will remain I wonder at the crack of dawn.
What future can we give to these plants and animals, we have already invaded every inch of land and air.

i wanted to tell you i loved you,
but the butterflies in my stomach swarmed my throat, and all the words got caught in their wings

Stone heart

You don't remember right? The time we stepped out of the same core and tugged onto warmth in darkness? And later, a few gusts of saltwater breeze took you far far away to roots of a forest in tropics? The drops from sky brought me to feet of sea, in a realm where I laid in a trance for millennia. I don't know why but it still feels like yesterday, when we were born out of stardust. You just don't remember.

But I know you remember when we met again. You carved someone's name on my chest. To forever turn me into the mirror of your heart. That name carrying a promise, a hope, etched on me joined us both, albeit momentarily. I too shared that hope, that desire to see you return with her and show the name you etched. For years maybe. Before you forgot again.

I don't know how long has passed. But I still bear the mark, fading away bit by bit, dissolved in cracks, covered in moss root. Stars watch and skies change clothes everyday. Waves climb my face and winds wipe away cracks filled with saltwater. I wonder how long does forever last. Maybe as long as the memory? Or maybe as long as the feeling. Feelings I assumed you had when you wrote her name on me, just as indelibly. And maybe somewhere in midst of all seasons which passed, I fell in love with a memory you lost along the way.

And though you pride yourself in beauty of a human heart which beats with strength of desire, I bear pride in mine which never loses the name. Which never loses the memory. A stone heart never forgets. But until it is a grain of sand again. For then it will flow with breath of life, to heart of another star, to meet the name it fell in love with too.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world,
and binary accounts for them all.

They're happy and sad.
They're ones and zeros.
Villains and heroes.
Villains, yet not all bad.
Despite everything life decides to hurl;
Despite every brick ball of fear
Through the stained glass windows of their minds,
Through it all, they survive.
They're angry and glad.
They're happy and sad.

And in their duality, they're still smiling there
at your sharp hasty words
at your venomous hurt
that you wish so desperately they, too, shared.
Love thy enemy.

Special thanks to Kelley A Vinal for the binary inspiration. You can read her poetry here: http://hellopoetry.com/kelley-a-vinal/

It's pretty solid.

Edit: Holy Daily, Batman! Wow, I'm so honored. Glad you all like it so much! :D

.
In my garden, feral and overgrown,
I bear with branchings of the apple,
Hunched and grey, laden with fallow
Fruits, the tired, knottted fingers die
Each year, under which are baubles
Of sourness and stray, poorly drawn
Circles of fodder even hungry deer
Will not graze upon.  The elder tree
Slowly casts itself into Bonsai stone.

Down a valley, in the grades of sun,
Lay a stand of madrones in redden
Fire, with deepest eyes of burnished
Green leaves, some immortal Gorgon
So beauteous, in form and branches
Divine, of Olympian flame, held, atop
Heavenly escarpments by the loving
Skies.  I see it for what it is, my love,
Your body and hair, so tawny, so fair,
Though, ever lost to me but in dream,
Are dearly those red branches, a fable,
Your eyes, green as sea, those leaves.

The dream is the same every night
I see people
We sang our good songs out loud near the fireplace,
One night, instead of screaming
But the strength to love,
Ever since I last saw you
those were watercolor constellations,
Take a little peek at the times gone by
So what happened to all those days and nights?
It disappears like a sunset
I feel as like I'm flying
Then falling;
Falling, falling
And I wake up
