we're afraid to
hold each other
too tightly
because we know
we're fragile
and neither
wants to be
the first to
break.
Every word we say leaves an imprint on the soul.
The things we say can make a person feel whole.
It can make them despair and make them feel upset.
It can make them feel emotions they haven't felt yet.
Words can make someone fall in love, it can make their heart beat faster.
It can take their breath away, it can cause a disaster.
It can leave you wondering what they meant.
Or maybe leave you happily content.
It can help or hurt someone please be careful what you say.
Check your mind before you speak, check it all the way.

I can turn my gaze away
Command my tongue to never take your name
Be your ***** secret
For as long as you want.

I can lay my eyes on the roads,
Waiting for the day you knock my door,
I can manage not to bait an eye
Every time you go off to her when we fight.

be your anything

But I'm only a girl,
There is only so far I can go,
I'm only a girl,
Who made a mistake of falling in love with you.

I'm only a girl,
So desperately in love,
But I still bleed,
From your unpredictable blows.

I'm only a girl,
Looking at you like you're the **** sun,
But it is still not enough.

I can play pretend,
Tell my friend it's okay,
The marks on my arms, are nothing
I just tripped, a time too many

Incidentally that is also where your hands held me.

I can take the guilt,
I can drown my voice,
I can be your machine,
Aligning my thoughts with what you wish me to be
I can rust my mind, cause what I think is never right,
I can turn deaf and dumb
Be a shiny object you show off to your friends
If that is all it will take

For you to stop inflicting pain,
For you to realise I'm just a human

Because I'm only a girl,
And I lash out and scream,
In hope to get through to you,
Or anyone.

Because I'm only a girl,
On this sinking ship called hope.
A silly girl who has not yet realised
No one else can fix you up

It's like a cycle.
He enters at the rate,
any new-comer would.
Charming.
Gentle.
Fast as that autumn breeze,
he illustrates a whirl in your mind.
Your life.
You depic beauty in his eyes.
Autumn bursts into a heavy fall.
Face first,
and he is no where.
Your eyes weather.
They bring heavy rain.

It's like a cycle.

A hope,
a glimmer,
is upon the iced winter.
The air crisp as a sweet apple.
A stable environment,
happiness birthed each day.
All stood at a pause,
but a warmth seemed to be inching.
Suttle and simple
Beauty had arisen,
in oranges, pinks, and blues.
Spring.
You were being educated,
in what was once,
the love of autumn.
Warmth.
Compassion.
Greater and unwilling to harm...
An unjust statement.
A drizzle,
and he vanished.

It's like a cycle.

A blazing sunshine.
A clear sky.
A past to be forgotten.
The grass healthy,
as footprints were laid upon it.
Laughter is where it was chosen to be.
A memory,
never to be forgotten.
Not a change in the air,
but a slight breeze.
It was over.
Beauty was freshly created.
Life was returned in your eyes...
But you had failed to visualize,
a season,
once born,
must die,
and must return once more.
In a silent twilight,
he brings another autumn.

It is a cycle.
Goodbyes lead to new hellos

Today I saw pity.
Pity in eyes fixed right on me.

The girl that never knew love.
And the oh so perfect, He.

Today I guess was my judgement.
Patient fingers tap awaiting for my repent.
But to Him, I had none...
I feel it's been time well spent.

Little dove are you hurting?
Are you all torn up inside?
This love you keep trying to feel;
Where oh where could it hide?

The tides are changing quickly.
I see you becoming bored.
Every jagged knife stab...
When will a Prince come end it with his sword?

Empty hearts poor out sorrow.
Cracked hearts set the room a flood.
Having both just makes you hollow...
The water runs red with your blood.

Misery loves company.
But look, you're all alone.
Look at how you make them smile,
While your fragile heart turns into stone.

Conceal
Don't feel

Plaster a smile on your face
Remember your place
Dance that same old dance
Happiness at first glance

Conceal
Don't feel

Happiness at first glance
Don't give them the chance
Keep them away from the fringes
Your coming off the hinges

Conceal
Don't feel

Your coming off the hinges
Blinded buy the vision
Of the misty gray
Of all your yeasterdays

Conceal
Don't feel

Of all your yesterdays
Only sorrow flowed your way
But remember your place
Plaster that smile on your face
