One ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Isn't always the teenage dream
It's when people tell you that it's ok to be you
Well, unless of course, if you're a part of the LGBTQ
It's when you get the overflowing sense of libido
And most of the time you feel inferior
Your parents are wrong, you feel like you hate them
You talk to people you call friends
Even though sometimes you want nothing to do with them
You think you're in love with this boy
But really it's lust
You break the rules
You're breaking loose
Because remember the time you were 8
And wanted to be a teenager?
Well, this isn't what you expected
Isn't it?
hey, continue liking & commenting on my poems i really appreciate it. it'd be nice if you get them to trend and get me more followers. thanks! :)
"Help me," I cry

My monster is watching.
No one hears your screams, you know. Except for me.

I beg for mercy, but he tightens his grasp.
Every part of me wants to fight back.
But with every swing I take, I'm wasting away.

How strong are you now?
He continues to taunt.
Hold on, I dare you to.
The monster knows my pain.

With one final push I open my eyes.
It's eating me alive, I can feel it.
It's destroying me from inside.
By now I'm gasping for air,
But I keep getting pulled back under.

This time, the monster laughs.
He knows I'm through.
His fist is wrapped around my body,
Ready to crush me.
My journey was made long and torturous.
For cruel entertainment.

I start to give up.
The darkness is sliding back over me.
It won't take much to shatter what I have left.
I'm already broken.
I relax, ready to welcome death and the comfort it brings.
One last breath I take, and my life becomes
A flat line.
This is actually written about a relapse, but I tried to make it kind of like a struggle, or a fight between two sides.
Remebering your voice
And the tone
The gentleness
Protectiveness
It started up again.

Why?
I was over you
I let go of you
I moved on without you
Why is this happening.

I wont turn again
I go forward
Not backwards
So make up your mind

Just please
Understand
What is past is past
I will be sure
It will
Never happen again.

A childhood favorite becomes
something with
an entirely different
meaning.

      (count to 10
         then try to find me)

Today, yesterday
tomorrow
it has become
a game for one.

      (8...9...10! Ready or not,
          not one is coming.)

Nobody gets close
in this solitary
game.

Feelings and thoughts
are well disguised,
only slightly revealed
through cracks in the wall.

      (Where are you?
          Where did you go?)

Sequestered by failings,
inadequacy paints a veneer of
confidence
self esteem
vibrancy.

None of it exists.

      (Are you still playing?)

This childhood game
is renamed, redefined.
For if anybody seeks,
I shall remain
hidden.
Mother do not mourn me for I am not dead
I am well enough in this hospital bed

My leg it is gone in a Flanders field it lies
but some gave much more, paid a far greater price

My comrades lost, never to return
to England's shores for which they all yearned

I just want to see you Mother, again
and let you hold me, erase all the pain

So do not fret Mother, for me please be strong
till I’m home again Mother, where I belong

Your loving son
Listening to a wonderful piece of music on Classic FM,  I was inspired to write this WW1 poem.
I hope it moves some of you. :)

nostalgic
i write
to
hide
away
from the
terrors
of the
world.
i write
to
sink
slowly
into the
terrors
of my
mind.

black waves fall
in a fine
latticework;
eyes singing songs
of the
ocean

oh love, wouldn't
you want to know?

lips dancing on
soft rose
petals
whilst a slither
of a shy
glint

oh love, couldn't
you try to know?

a shy song floats
in the cold
air,
filling up the
thousands and
more

oh love, shouldn't
you already know?

the pacific hums
the sound of
rain
smothering me
with thoughts of
y o u

oh love, *i know.
